Okay, i know this sounds completly retarded but oh well, i kind of want to get this idea in.
In my opioion, milk should be a placeable liquid, but unlike water and lava it has some execpetions.
1. Milk does not spawn naturally, so it will be kind of realistic
2. Milk does not mix with other liquids, so don't expect cookie rocks
3. In order to get the heal, you must make it atleast a 3x3 square
4. Milk does not spread like other liquids
This could be a nice decoration, plus this could make a place in your house where when you step in it, you lose your potion effects, plus it could be pretty good for adventure maps.
But placing it takes up the same action as drinking it, so I will just make it so that you need to put milk in a bottle to drink it
For some counter arguements
Its not realistic:
Well its a video game, plus i find it how I can get attacked by a zombie to not be realistic, plus with enough milk it is
It makes cows useless:
You can still use them for leather and beef, its not useless
There is a mod:
Don't say that, its aganist the rules
Its a griefer tool:
I don't see why griefers would use it, lava and water is much better for griefing, I don't grief and I know this, it doesn't spread
The only thing I could see this ending up as is a griefing tool.
No more than water is...
As to the idea, sorry, I don't like the idea of one bucket being able to remove your status effect forever. All you'd have to do is carry a bucket of milk, pour it on the ground is you're poisoned, swim in it for a half a second, then pick it back up so you can use it later.

Okay, I will try to make it less overpowered, now its no longer a good griefer tool, saying this for now long just makes you look dumb

Well, in the sense that some griefers enjoy to make obscene sculptures, this would greatly help them.

You have 2 choices: +1 me with your computer,
or -1 me with your mind. One of them is less frustrating.
I like this idea if only because of the number of times I've joked with my friends about it.
At the very least you should be able to put it in a cauldron or something...
This is so wrong on so many levels. It's aesthetically displeasing (I don't think I'll be drinking milk for the rest of the week), you could simply include a debuffing potion, and does it make sense that a single source block of milk could sit around on dirt in the open air and not turn rancid. This isn't realism, it's just ridiculous.
If you want a debuffing liquid block, I'd much rather have a hotspring block or enchanted water, but not a vat of milk. No support, milk should stay in buckets and perhaps bottles or cauldrons, not as blocks.
How about baby animals will occasionally drink milk that is on the ground, which could make them grow faster, like baby sheep eat grass and grow up quicker
Even with Minecraft's crazy logic, there's really no sense in being healed by walking in milk. Related to this, I have wondered before how a "bucketful" of milk can come from a cow, compared to how much a "bucketful" of water or lava is..

"Victory is like a watermelon. It's hard to spell and it tastes good."
No, it just sounds stupid.
Also, how would getting a square meter of milk from a single cow work? Minecraft maybe unrealistic, but it's not outright stupid.

Simple enough.
2. Milk does not mix with other liquids, so don't expect cookie rocks
Nor does lava and water.
3. In order to get the heal, you must make it atleast a 3x3 square
I thought you drank from buckets...
4. Milk does not spread like other liquids
So it's just a liquid square?

Being attacked by zombies is more realistic than getting cubic squares of milk from a single cow.
It makes cows useless:
You can still use them for leather and beef, its not useless
Once you make yourself an infinite milk pond, they kind of are worthless.
There is a mod:
Don't say that, its aganist the rules
It maybe against the rules but it is informative.
Its a griefer tool:
I don't see why griefers would use it, lava and water is much better for griefing, I don't grief and I know this, it doesn't spread
Dumb liquids all over someone's house is not griefing, it's just plain annoying.

I get how they can pour it over a house, but lava is much better to use, I don't see this happening

Now, you just have to bring nine buckets with you and it's good. Awesome.
ugh, even just for this, I'd rather not have this in minecraft. >.<

I am ninja'd far too often.
