We need more ways to use redstone. Here is a list of my suggestions:
Instead of having to do that curly doo-hickey to get redstone up, not to mention the extra room it takes, we need to be able to place circuits on walls! This would make things easier.
Redstone wireless! You take a thing similar to a redstone repeater. When you place it, it asks you to type in an ID. A sign will pop up from the wireless trigger, showing the id. When triggered, it sends power to all of the same ID blocks within 1 km.
We need better vertical translations of Redstone, but making it placeable on walls doesn't feel right. Too easy for Redstone.
Also, wireless Redstone would be awesome, but I dislike having an interface and inputting IDs. What about lasers? We're getting Emerald blocks, and Emeralds are used for lasers.
Think it should only be able to be on the wall for 5 or 6 blocks, and on the ceiling for 3 or 4. The wireless redstone seems a bit awkward, maybe change it?

I'm sure that Emeralds should be kept as currency.

That's all I've got!
I like the wireless Redstone idea, I had the idea too, but instead of a repeater like object, why not use simple colored Redstone torches. This way the dyes can be put to a new use. The regular RS torches will stay the same but, let's have different colored RS torches to act as wireless transceivers.
like this.
^ = dye
i = RS torch
_ ^ _
_ i _
_ _ _
The master torch would have a lever or button directly connected to the same block.
Slave torch(s) will copy master up to 10 blocks distance.
I would like to be able to make clean redstone blocks, so 9 redstone in a crafting square will create a block like diamond blocks.
The block will be able to convey current the same way as restone does,
AND it would make for awesome flashy lights
That would be cool.
Also another idea that came to mind was having normal block be infused with Redstone. It would take 8 normal blocks and one Redstone dust in the center, but it would appear as a normal block and act like Redstone on the ground. Also it can be laid out one after the other and still be connected. And to go even further, make it stackable, meaning finally make the Redstone stack on top of the other and still stay connected. Redstone going up a wall.

Doesn't make sense that you can put dust on a wall, but it does make sense to glue it there.
Wireless redstone would be okay, I suppose, but it would take away use from normal redstone.
I agree so much.
Please explain your point.
