I doubt I'm the only one that is getting tired of swords and bows as the only weapons. So why not add more? I have a list of some of the things I'm thinking of. I'm not good with computers so I have no pictures.=(
Dragon swords: If Notch ever releases dragons, and if they drop scales, this would work. Let's say they add at least add fire and water dragons( red and blue). You would take red dragon scales and a stick and craft it like a regular sword and get a Fire Dragon Sword. But this would not just be an enchanted sword, no it would be better. The fire would be super strong and so would the sword in general. You would not set things on fire by hitting it. Double click your right mouse button ( or another command idk)and it would shoot flames. Same with water and other ones. The shooting elements would destroy the sword quicker than hitting.
Shield: This one is kind of and armor. If you have seen the dual wielding mod, you will know the awesomeness of the shield. I think dual wielding should be implemented, so this would work. It is exactly what it sounds like. It would have variations like swords.
Greatsword: this would really only work with dual wielding to give it a downfall. It would take up two hands and would be slower. But it would be More powerful. Variations just like regular swords.
War axe: a small fast weapon, one handed, but less powerful. Variations.
Dragon armor: exactly what it seems like. Whatever element it is, you are resistant to.
Totally different swords: who is tired of the boring look of the regular swords? I know I am. So how about different looking swords, with different abilities? Some only available from dungeons or villagers, others crafted with pieces you find randomly digging or in chests. The second would be more powerful. They could all look totally different and have a random element.
What does everyone think? Does it make minecraft too complex? Is it just plain stupid? Feedback please!
Are you talking about a mod? Or into the actual game? If your looking for a mod, try SkyrimCraft. If your looking for this to be in the actual game, Notch said that he won't be making any more weapon sets. It's just too much to balance out. And I like your grammar ;P just saying. Most of the "new guys" we get here have such unreadable grammar.
It would be interesting, but I doubt that Jeb or another Dev will add any of these unless they've a more special aspect to them. Not to mention that with a combat system this advanced, we'd need another AI overhaul to make it so everything isn't completely off-balance. It'd probably be a while before this would even be considered.

I was talking about the actual game. I didn't know Notch said that... Another failed idea by me=(

No, no. It's not a failed idea. I love the idea. It's just that the weapons will need re-balancing if it's going to be in the actual vanilla Minecraft. But this suggestion sounds kinda like SkyrimCraft. So if your into mods, you should get that but I don't think that dragons are in there (besides the end-game dragon).
Edit: also like Orange_Cak said, the AI would need changing.
Edit2: And don't say your idea's are fail. Ideas are ideas. Ideas can sometimes be insane and overly dramatic, but never failed. So don't let that bring you down

Like I said in the first thing I'm really bad with computers so I have to use magic launcher and it doesn't support skyrimcraft...=(
I know how to do it and it sounds sooooooooo easy, but my computer must be messed up or sumthin, or it is I that is messed up!XD
Some mods require you to install them in the actual minecraft.jar and others require you to install it in your "mods" folder (like if it has ForgeAPI). Don't forget about all the prerequisites you need for SkyrimCraft.
if you think your posts are failed take a look at mine it will make you feel much better. one was so bad i just deleted it altogether tho keep people from getting reported. yeah, you'll feel better after ssing that mess lol... don't worry you'll become better and better at posting just keep trying. and also i think the dragon swords are a bit overpowered, but the rest is cool. it should be a mod though lol. good luck in the future!

I could help you install mods, if you want. It's super easy once you get the hang of it.

You're ideas aren't stupid. They're good ideas
