I want to be able to place doors down on an angel so that I can build different ways.
It would allow me to be put a door on a structure where I'm facing blocks in a diamond like formation. Instead of forcing a flat spot on my rigid walls
The process of place one down could be as easy as placing stairs upside down.
This is nothing creativity can't solve. You can also use pistons or trap doors to accomplish a corner entrance. The biggest issue is Minecraft is a world made of blocks. You start adding diagonal crap and we might as well add circles and 1/8th blocks too.
In fact, I just realized, this method is even more efficient than a normal double door. Why? Since double doors now behave properly with redstone signals, you only need one pressure plate on either side to open and close it.
