I've always been bugged by the aesthetic problem of iron bars, fences, glass panes, etc. not attacking to piston heads. These items make useful doors or jail cells, but there is always a half-block gap between these kinds of blocks and the pistons themselves. I'd like to see these kinds of blocks actually attach to pistons.
"attacking" I think you mean attaching?
The thing is extended pistons are like a table. It is not a full block it's like 1/10 of a block with a fence post sticking through.
If I understand you right, you want glass panes and iron bars to attach to extended pistons. The thing is it does not go right because the piston Is not a full block. So I think it is just not possible. You could always use stick pistons with a block on the stick piston.
Till then, no where to go.
Re: I was just confused on his wording, you know what I was talking when I mentioned the glass.

*facepalm* Don't correct people then make an equally embarrassing mistake in your post...
On topic: This isn't too huge an issue, but if fixing it will make people like you happy I don't see why not.
Attaching yes. That's what I meant. Sorry for the typo.
Anyways, yeah I guess what you say makes sense. That's too bad though. I wonder how difficult it'd be to program an exception into that behavior so that they do attach (got it right this time, heheh) to the head of an extended piston.
