Hello guys I have a suggestion to make ocean biomes more... exciting, im not asking to make them smaller or anything im simply asking for maybe fish? That swim in the ocean, Beautiful coral on the beach floor.
The ocean biomes are pretty much endless, it would be nice to add some more
beauty to them instead of just dirt with circles of sand, undwater mountains!, Undewater ravines
all we ask for is less dullness!
Support if you want, I don't think this is too major to make a mod and not to complicated to code, I know nearly nothing about coding but I know all this would need is a few texture ideas and a bit of codes nothing else
Support if you want
Sorry about the typo's getting used to my keyboard
I like this idea, but now how would you make coral? Would it be an entity or a block, like maybe underwater 'trees' made of a new 'coral block' or sponges?

I think coral would be a generated structure, yes, and I also think that this a brilliant idea! They should just have an update with a complete revamp for oceans, rivers, and lakes. Also, I feel that there needs to be more of a sense of danger in the oceans, because right now, on your first day, you could just build a boat and spend that day in the middle of the ocean...

Yeah because spending a day in a boat takes away from the gameplay, If you spend your whole minecraft career in a boat without being endangered the 'survival' aspect just comes down to finding a way to get food in the ocean. In that sense it would just be fish.

Yea i agree with all you guys its a good idea, i know there are plenty of mods but its a simple concept they should be naturaly generated , i like your idea with giving a use for the sponge, and also underwater trees , won't take too much coding
Im gona work for a support logo you guys got any ideas?
I have a thread that suggests a lot of ocean related stuff, you can check it out if you want.

I always thought (and still do) that oceans were EXTREMELY boring. Squids are the only water mob and are only useful for black dye. If there is a creeper chasing you, you can simply just dive into the water and attack it's feet. The only hazard in water is drowning.

I find the lack of turtles in your thread disturbing
