I would love to see the addition of black bears and grizzly bears some day. Black bears could be a neutral mob that only become agressive when seriously provoked. They have a lot of interesting behaviors in real life, do I bet it'd be fun to make the AI for. They could appear in forests, caves open to the surface, and snow biomes.
As for grizzly bears, they would almost always be agressive, and could live in similar places as black bears. They'd also probably like being near rivers so they can fish.
Anyway, those are my ideas, what do you guys think?
Why two bears? "One is aggressive" isn't enough of a difference to justify both. And for that matter, why bears at all? What would they do/provide that we don't already have?

It is an interesting but depressing reality that most politicians are just regular people with power. And most people would be as bad as politicians if only they could get some power.
We have creepers, zombies, spiders, cave spiders, skeletons, jockeys, silverfish, blazes, ghasts, magma cubes, and slimes. It's not like we need a lot more hostile mobs. Also, if you want more mobs you might want to think of some made up ones, bears are rather boring compared to other mobs.

For one, Black Bears are FAR more aggressive than Brown Bears such as Grizzlies.
Besides that, what would they do? Just wander around? What resources would they drop? Pelts? Meat? Fish? How would they become aggressive? Could they climb? Would they hunt? Details, man, DETAILS.

It's hard criticizing ideas when one is tired, so you'd better appreciate it when I criticize yours.

Funny story. I was in the mountains last week and drove up this trail where a a black bear was sitting eating grass. He didn't really care. We talked to him for a while and he just sat there and looked at us.
Technically wolves should be more aggressive than bears, yet we've seen how that went. This is a game. Things don't always match up with reality.

I never said they were that aggressive to begin with. Bears really aren't very aggressive... well... excluding polar bears. Grizzly bears are pretty mellow too. Generally, black bears are more aggressive than grizzly bears, but they are pretty much passive all the time anyway, because that's how bears roll. Except polar bears.
Wolves are pretty much never aggressive to people. Pretty much every attack on a human is from a more aggressive than average rogue wolf that probably hasn't eaten in a long time.

Probably more times than this, but I'm lazy when it comes to search.
