Currently I am looking at one of my older maps and I have a shelter full of multi-colored sheep and a pumpkin farm. I realize how useless these are once you have enough wool for beds and not enough iron for an iron golem. The snow golem is so useless it's laughable but I could make tons of them, then they leave snow everywhere I gotta clean up. Why don't we have real uses for sheep and pumpkins?
I know for a fact pumpkins are a squash that is quite tasty cooked in real life. We got wooden bowls that are only good for mushroom soup, and I remember a thread long ago about pumpkin stew. Boom, now pumpkins and bowls are not so useless. Now I am actually happy if I start a new game and run into a pumpkin patch for food.
As for sheep, make them drop some rack of lamb. That sounds tasty. This way when you invest food (wheat) into them you get at least some food back. There are some games I get hungry surrounded by sheep and think to myself I'd get an axe and get me a shank off that one there, just to remind myself you can't eat mutton in MC. This will also help the issue of shears, if you can't find iron quickly enough and need a bed for the first night at least you could kill sheep without feeling so bad because you can eat them now.
While some will say this stuff makes survival easier, it does sorta. I just hate having critters and plants with no real use to them. Balancing changes to make you go hungrier quicker as a result of more food being about could be made, or make food fill you up much less. Regardless I want pumpkins and sheep edible and I'm sure others out there do too!
The Department of Redundancy's Department would love to tell you that it would love to tell you that this thread is redundant as each of these ideas have been suggested an awful lot.
Aka, redundant topic.

Did something happen to you in your childhood to give you this unreasonable fear of rutabaga?
Golems, sheep and pumpkins have no connection whatsoever. Why are you suggesting this? And why golems? You're not suggesting anything about golems. And you know that pumpkin soup has been suggested before then why say it again?

I haven't even bought MineCraft, I don't have the money...
This is a wishlist (several unrelated ideas in one thread) and against the rules. It also happens that each of these have been suggested numerous times before. Please search before posting.

Also I agree with Kholdstare, these are suggestions I see all the time. Use that search bar, that's why it's there.
