_____My idea was for there to be seasons, more to add flavor to the game, but then again, I did want to do something with it... Every season lasts 15 MC days, so that you can get the feel for it. Each season different animals will florish, and different plants. Some of these will be new, just so you get the real feel for the season!\
Check out the new seasonal mobs HERE:Thread not posted yet, sorry!
Check out the new seasonal plants HERE:Thread not posted yet, sorry!
_____Now that we have that finished, what is the weather and biomes like for the different seasons?
SPRING!
_____Spring has no new weather, just like regular MC! But what other things does it have that're new? Let's see!
_____Spring has the most new plants, mostly flowers, and to add to it, all crops grow slightly faster! Farmland actually gets moist faster, too.
_____With seasons, some animals will spawn more often when in a ceertain one. Which ones florish in summer? Well... Fish (meaning you have a higher chance to catch them), ocelots, and chickens. Creepers actually seem to spawn less, too.
SUMMER!
_____In summer, it never rains, except for in snow biomes, and even then, it RAINS, not snow! You can't enter desert biomes, or else you start slowly losing health and walking slightly faster until you go out of the desert biome.
_____Summer makes trees grow slightly slower, and all cactus are reduced to one block high, making there be almost no point to going into desert biomes.
_____Mobs in summer that florish are... Fish, sheep (though they spawn without wool), skeletons and spiders. Squid and zombies seem to spawn less in summer...
FALL!
_____In fall, it rains more often and actually starts to snow in snow biomes. Not much else is new on the weather, so let's move on!
_____In fall, crops and trees start to grow faster, and cactus can grow up to 4 blocks high.
_____Fall has the most new mobs than all the other seasons, but which ones spawn more constantly? Squid, cows, spiders, zombies and slimes. Skeletons and sheep seem to spawn less...
WINTER!
_____In winter, it snows in all biomes except deserts-which have rain. You can't go into snow biomes or else you start progressively losing health and walking slower until you come out.
_____Winter makes all plants, except for winter exclusive plants, grow slower, except cactus. In winter, cactus can grow 5 blocks tall, but every time they grow one block taller, they have a 50% chance to explode with water.
_____And WHAT mobs like winter the best? Fish, squid, sheep, wolves, mooshrooms, zombies, spiders, slimes and creepers. Chickens seem to spawn less.
THAT IS IT!

I've seen this suggested quite a few times, and I still don't support it, really. The biomes Minecraft has account for the seasons, and it detracts from the overall feel for the game.

Oh yeah, that makes sense...
You have a lot of options in here that you don't give an explanation for why they are that way. Like why would creepers spawn less in spring or squid less in summer?

The creepers not spawning as much in spring is because spring is supposed to be the peaceful season... so less creepers to attack you. Squid spawning less in summer is because, supposedly, there would be less water because of heat.
Yes, the cactus thing actually DOES make sense! When real cactus get too full of water in REAL life, they may explode (true fact!) and they grow taller because of more water! It actually DOES make sense.

If creepers dont spawn as much because its a peaceful season, then why do all hostile mobs not spawn less? Why do skeletons like summer? Overall, as mentioned previously, biomes are there for 'seasons'. Also, what if you have a house in a snow biome, do you just run away for 5 hours (15 mc days) during winter?

If you have a high light source (either a LOT of torches or lava) then you are fine. This also works in summer in deserts, like a lot of water. Skeletons like summer because, it's like zombies, but all the flesh has "melted off". The reason creepers spawn less but not others is because creepers blow up your house. Nothing else does that.

As said before, this has already been suggested and therefore redundant. Further more, it really doesn't make sense and some parts, even slightly realistic as they may be, detract from the gameplay.

It's hard criticizing ideas when one is tired, so you'd better appreciate it when I criticize yours.
