I have an idea for a way to make redstone much more useful. It is basically a not function that would allow buttons to become much more useful and should have many other applications. Basically a signal (IE on or off) would be given on one end, and on the other end the opposite signal would be sent. So if the wire was off on one side, then on would be sent to the other side. For those who use redstone a lot, generally levers are required to have hidden areas (for hiding chests with valuables and other things) because if a lever isn't used then the pistons are visible defeating the entire purpose of the hidden area. With this a discrete button could be used. It would also allow someone to have mutiple levers wired to a piston and require that the levers all be in the right position, not all on or all off. Please feel free to leave any comments or ideas on way to improve upon this.
I believe that what you just described, my friend, is an inverter, as shown in the screenshots of the guy above me.

tbh1138 Thank you. I had never tried that. This will help me greatly. I had talked to a few people about this before posting it here and neither of them had heard about this, so thanks for sharing it, I will definitely use an inverter in the future.
If anyone wants to port/remake this, feel free to do that! Or don't. It's up to you, really.
