I have loved minecraft for a long time now have been playing for almost 2 years now.
i loved how it feels like a huge lego like world.
i loved how there are monsters that i can stalk and kill.
however i find that as a solo player, the world runs out of things to do far too easily.
i have searched for mods to play with and found 2 that i really liked and would have loved to see aspects of incorporated into the vanilla version.
there where the "invasion mod" that adds new creeps and have them attack your fortress on mass and try to destroy a cube called "the nexus".
and the other one was the "millenaire mod" that adds living intractable NPC's to the world that build their own cities you can help them evolve they war with other cities and have some basic quests too.
i know many players just love to dig an build elaborate constructions ect, i do to when im in the mood for it.
however i would love to see minecraft peruse a more RPG element that many fans would love.
either incorporated into the existing survival mode or have an exclusive "adventure mode" where you traverse randomly generated worlds teeming with NPC's that interact have problems give quests, have guilds ect, sort of like an elderscrolls type deal.
i know some of you would not like this idea and i know it would take alot of time and effort to add, but personally i would love to see it done.
also it would be epic to add more steam and gun powder age items like better trains aircraft and even black powder rifles.
and even a zombie Apocalypse mode.
these are some of the ideas i would love to see incorporated into the vanilla version of minecraft rather then to have to hunt for a mod that gives me something along the lines of what i wanted.
and for those who TL DR on this ill make it brief, i would love to see added to the base minecraft version, and RPG element reminiscent of the elderscrolls games, steam and gunpowder age items IE, trails aircraft and black powder rifles, and a zombie apocalypse mode.
The thing you need to consider carefully is what is both functional and entertaining, vs something that can get irritating or out of control without having to play "mess with game settings all the time". Don't forget that whats "good" to you is just as good to everyone else.
Out of everything you've mentioned the only thing I believe that has merit in the base game is improved transit. It doesn't need to specifically be a train... but at least an improvement in minecarts.
As for an procedural RPG, those things are insanely tedious to design and implement. Not difficult mind you... just tedious. You play combinations of quest components, you get familiar with them, they get boring, so you demand some more. Unique or epic quests require a high degree of planing and writing, which makes creating them slow. NPC dialog would have to be vastly increased (with the same problems as quests), and frankly not everyone enjoys the idea of running "errands" for NPC that are too lazy to do it themselves. Elder scrolls is notorious for that.
I would call it forcing character development... but Steve doesn't have much of a character to develop.
Aircrafts, riffles? That just Totally doesn't fit in minecraft, sorry bro. The 250 million people who live in the USA would love riffles in every single game there is, but the other 6,750,000,000 people on this planet probably won't.
I hope that comment was tongue-in-cheek or you done be offendin' mah hippie ****.
OP: I'd suggest revising your post or it will be locked as a wishlist. Personally, I think the ideas are silly, even perhaps a little dumb.

better transport is needed.
and a new weapon like a fire arm would be fun too or even siege weapons.
i suggested the zombies thing because i know alot of players would love a zombie game mode.
