Just a note for now, if there are other topics about this that are similar link me to them.
Survival mode, we've all played it. Most of us even have full diamond equipment making this game too easy.
Then you procede to fight the enderdragon only to find it a pushover.
So you come back to your world and you start wanting a challenge but you can't find one.
Instead of nothing but the end credits after beating the enderdragon there is a little suprise when you reenter the overworld and that is.
Buffed mobs
After beating the dragon and going through the portal all mobs are buffed 1.25 or 1.5 (good numbers?) times their current health and attack strength but they also give more experience. It wouldn't be much more xp but just enough to compensate for the difficulty.
With this also comes a use for the enderdragon egg.
The egg
If you've beaten the dragon you will see that there is a colletable egg atop the portal.
If you know how you collected the egg and used it as a trophy in your base.
This will be used in the future to do something
New structure
Only 1 new structure would generate and hopefully you didn't explore too far out or it will generate past it's usual area.
At 1000-2000 (good distance?) block from 0,0 in any unloaded chunk a stronghold esque structure would be marked for the chunks it's going to generate in.
Unlike a stronghold though there is an entrance above ground making it a little easier to find.
Odds are you won't find this while just exploring and you're going to have to craft a new item.
To craft this item you need an eye of ender, a fire charge, and 7 ender pearls.
- = pearl
/ = eye of ender
: = fire charge
---
-/-
-:-
This gives you a/an (name?) which can be used infinintely unlike the eye of ender because it's only used to find the fortress.
Inside the structure
Once inside you will find a large room, and I mean LARGE at 2x2 to 4x4 chunks and completely dark and spawners in the walls it's a tough room.
To the left and right of the room there are 2 corridors and are full of traps like firecharge/arrow dispensers in the walls behind piston pulled blocks and activated by tripwire. At the end of each corridor is a small treasure room with goodies like ores, potions, weapons/armour, etc it isn't much to look at but more for a little reward for the troubles you went through.
At the back wall of the main room from the entrance is another hallway but it is just a hallway.
At the end of it is another room similar to the portal room of strongholds but with no lava spawner or even the portal blocks.
Instead there is a new block called the egg incubator (name?), hopefully you brought along your egg because right-clicking the block while holding the egg would place in it while also opening a vertical end portal block infront of you filling up the whole back wall.
The end 2.0
everything you have done in the end would still be there but there would now be more crystals in the end but these are different crystals because you see them floating freely around...
Ghasp! Another enderdragon except it's alseep untill you attack. You can't destroy the crystals while it's sleeping or it will wake up.
The Enderdragon 2.0
As a side note the new dragon can't destroy blocks but does noclip through them and has tye same statels as the other one.
Yep you're fighting him again but it's not so easy this time as the crystals are traveling with the enderdragon moving around hime while he's moving an there is 10-20 of them.
The dragon also has some new attacks
Rush: the dragon comes at you extremly quick doing a whopping 5 full hearts
Smash: the dragon flies above you and procedes to fall on top of you doing 6 full hearts
Bite: you are bitten and recirve 2 full hearts of damage but also have a chance of getting a negative potion effect.
Expulsion, where the enderdragon expels a wall of force, reflecting all projectiles back at the player while doing its circling? It would appear to create a blue aura.
Horrifying Roar: The Enderdragon roars and strikes fear in to your heart, greatly reducing vision, attack strength (and attack length), mining efficiency, and speed for 20 seconds. (Aka it applies Slowness II, Mining Fatigue II, Blindness I, and Weakness II).
(feel free to suggest more attacks)
Once you beat this dragon the overworld portal returns and the credits are played again but with some neat music.
Comments, questions, concerns please comment
also sorry about any grammar or spelling mistakes I typed this up at 11 pm on an Iphone.
I like this idea. How about a new attack, called expulsion, where the enderdragon expels a wall of force, reflecting all projectiles back at the player while doing its circling? It would appear to create a blue aura.

Why does everyone think I don't have an avatar? Is there anyone who can see the one black pixel.
Please click the dragons, they need to grow. Also, my fully grown dragons can be found in my bio.

Good idea I'll add to the op.

Arrival of Darkness, Darker yet recognizable textures.
Define "stronger" mobs. If they just have more health they won't be stronger, it'll just take more clicks to kill them.
Also, for a new attack...

Did something happen to you in your childhood to give you this unreasonable fear of rutabaga?

I guess stronger mobs wasn't really defined well. By stronger I mean the 1.25 or 1.5 times their current health and attack.
