I think it would be cool to have shade, depth of field, and water shaders in minecraft I'm not sure if the minecraft team confirmed if they are going to add this to the game or not. It would be nice to be able to toggle them so you can have really nice graphics or just the ordinary graphics and since it would be in the base game you wouldn't have to put optifine, glsl shaders, depth of field, or ultimate shaders into your minecraft.jar.
I think it's safe to say that Mojang will never, ever add things like this for vanilla. A lot of people with decent PC's are suffering some bad performance with Minecraft as is, coupled with the fact that each update we get gives us 10 bugs for every 1 fix, so imagine how this would be if these shaders came in. Sure, you could turn them off, but the time and programming needed to make these work at anything near 100% efficiency would be unspeakable.
This is why some ideas just fall back on being mods.

Ok you have a good point and I would rather the game be less buggy than like 10 or 20 bugs just from shaders oh well I don't mind not having shaders I just thought it would be a cool thing to have in the game.
