Most people know about the Void that you can fall in when you break bedrock. That void is infinite and. . . well. . . boring. I am here to post what I think the Void should be and how it should be put in the game.
(I am a huge fan of The Elder Scrolls and The Legend of Zelda. You may see some influence of that.)
How you enter:
The Void could be entered through a hole in bedrock. OR, it can be entered through a portal like most other dimensions. If the Aether is added to the game without the use of a mod, then here is how I think it should be done.
1) Go to the Nether. Defeat an added boss in the nether. The boss can be an armored troll or flaming golem wielding a nether sword. Take that sword.
2) Go to the Aether. Kill the god-king/paladin that inhabits the throne. He has a holy shield. (Add shields.) Take his shield.
3) Go to the End. Defeat the End Dragon. Grab a dragon egg and leave.
4) Search the overworld for a HUGE obsidian castle floating somewhat above the ground.(It only appears during night-time. If it is daytime, you'll just see a 5x5 square of bedrock with a strange statue in the center. It should be 200x200x100.(With the exception of the tower, which is 200 tall)) Travel through the castle to reach the tower and go up the up the 7 stories, defeating all the enemies to open the door, to get to the top of it. The last two floors will be inhabited by knights.
The 3rd floor should have knight wearing iron armor except with a closed helm and armor that covers all of his arms. He'd be wielding a diamond sword and iron shield with a red cape on his back.
Then the knight will get tougher at the 4th floor. It will be a black knight(same type of armor as the previous knight, just. . .black) flying around on this 50-something block high floor shooting skulls and lightning at you. You hit either of these projectiles back at him and the knight will fall down. Now you attack him. Rinse and repeat.
At the top will be a mannequin wearing the same black armor, except the knight is a lot larger. Select the mannequin and the sword and shield will go to the mannequin. Then you put the egg in a hole in it's armor on the chestplate. Yeah, you just OP'ed the boss you'll fight. He gets off his throne and the egg cracks a little. The sword and shield turn black and gloomy. BTW, he is 3x the size of you.
He moves slow when you look at him(he is holding a sword that blocks his face. He teleports to you when you look away. Attack him enough and his armor will fall off. It shows him as a decaying king from ages ago. He moves faster now, but won't teleport. Attack him enough and he throws the sword and shield off the tower. He takes all your armor and weapons and throws them off the tower.
This final stage of the battle is you and him fist-fighting. He attacks for 2 hearts of damage, instead of one. He has normal health now. Kill him and you're done. The egg starts cracking, and out comes the king. He(somehow) explains that he is the lost king of Minecraftia and that he has been lost for ages and ages. It turns out that the king was hated by the Troll/Flaming golem, the god-king/paladin, the End Dragon, AND the next boss you'll fight.
Walk with the king down to the bottom of the castle and get your stuff from outside. If it is nighttime still, he casts a spell to take it to dawn. He takes out a pearl and puts it in the statue, and teleports both you and him 100 blocks away from the statue. You take a look in front of you to see a huge hole down to bedrock and a portal. Walk with him to the portal while he tells you about his wanting for revenge and that the boss of the Void can control minds. The boss made the king a disciple before he was a king, as well as the three other knights you fought. He tells you that the king made him destroy the Nether, which he said used to be beautiful; he destroyed the Aether, which was previously free of harm; and the End, which is why Endermen hate men. Lastly, he gained a little consciousness from being so far from the Void, so he destroyed all the Void portals but the one he that you are about to enter. The boss kicked him out, so the Endermen still on Minecraftia dragged him to the end portal to be eaten by the End Dragon. He then offers to repair your armor and weapons, and you can't decline. When you're prepared, enter the portal with him.
The Void:
When you enter the void, all you see is a long path of bedrock. You look down and see that the path is the only ground visible for miles. The King tells you it is the center of Minecraftia, not a whole other world. You see torches placed everywhere on the path, but only lighting up a one block radius.
After the long walk, you get to the place where you see trees that are keeping the place dark. And after more of a walk you see the first enemy.
Enemies:
The Voider: The Voider is a shade-like creature carrying duel-Void swords.
The Voiditee: 20 hearts on easy. Just a larger Voider.
The Necro: An enemy who summons enemies you have previously killed in 2 minutes. Shoots lightning at you and drops mana crystals.
(Pictures/ sketches wanted)
The items:
Blacktone: Redstone that continues the electrical charge forever.
Void weapons: The sword and axe are duel-wielded, so you do double damage.
Void tools: Shovel digs the fastest. Plants that see no light that are tilled using a void hoe grow twice the speed that they do in the sun.
Void Amor: Above diamond protection. Never runs out of armor protection.
Tar: A sticky, burning substance. Picked up by a bucket and sets wild life on fire.
Blackwood: A tree that blocks all light in a 10 block radius.
The Boss:
I imagine the boss should be a necromantic court wizard that decayed. The king says that the necromantic court wizard taught the knights only one thing about combat, except the King himself, his closest disciple, whom he taught everything to.
The boss through something on, the ground, which looks like redstone dust, but it is black. It surrounds a 30x30 area, and the wizard surrounds that area in bedrock. He floats around like the first black knight, and shoots lightning. He can shoot it at you, so you can deflect it, or he shoots it at the black stone where you have to jump because it spreads quite fast.
When he takes enough damage, he will fall to the ground and act like the first and third knight. When he takes about 50 hits from a diamond sword in that stage, he will act like an enderman mage-knight thing and start switching stages rapidly.
After 3 cycles of you beating him, he will die, making all the black stone dust be collectable. A Void chest will appear behind him. In that chest, a mana crystal(Minecraft's first mana source) a flint and steel sorta tool that shoots fireballs(breaks unless you have the mana crystal in your inventory) and a set of Void Armor and tools. The same set the Knights were wearing. It blocks any enemies from the void to attack you in Minecraftia.
The enemies from the Void should come to the Minecraftia for revenge.
The set of Void armor should have good enchantments, unique also. Any ideas?
That's all I got. Please give feedback, this took me a few hours.
Would make a good mod, but the Void strictly exists in it's current state to keep players from falling forever after going through the bedrock. Furthermore, this adds a lot of story to the game, which I find kills the entire sandbox aspect of the game.

But just because something would be optional doesn't mean it is a good idea or that we should support it. Anyways, this is off topic. Let's discuss the idea itself.

I agree that this is a little lore filled. But that's what you guys clean up.

Well, no, you're the suggester, so you should clean it up yourself, we shouldn't have to.
Oh no. I mean the Mojang people if they see this. They should want to change it how they desire.
