Well, Look at that, A Horde of zombies outside my house, Im screwed, with my diamond sword, and Iron armor..
Wait! I forgot my PearlBlade, I could own those zombies (Evil laugh)
Now, The PearlBlade,This blade does 4 hearts of damage (Same as a diamond axe I believe), and does a special function which is when the blade is right clicked, (ON a mob) It will Teleport you to that mob, and kill all mobs within a 5 block radius, Now, you may think this is op, but This would have a timer, and could only be used every 5 minutes, (AKA A bar shown under the durability). This could be helpful in Adventure Mode/Hardcore Mode. The downfalls of this are, Slightly less durability than Diamond (200 less Durability 825). This sword is Unrefillable, and this is a sort of cheatish feature, but when you lose your sword (To Despawn Etc, but not Durability reasons) You can throw a diamond into the end portal, and a PearlBlade would appear in your inventory. If I forgot something, or you have questions, please tell me. Thank you for your time Edit: I forgot the recipe, it would look like this (Stick on the Middle Bottom of the Crafting Bench, then Ender Pearls on two spaces above it.)
Maybe, if it only did a certain amount of damage to mobs in that radius instead of killing them, this would be more acceptable. But, despite the cooldown, it is currently too overpowered.
Retains its instakilling ability, but cannot do damage normally (if you swing it, it won't do anything), but its durability is reduced to 1. So: You basically have a bomb that you can use to get rid of a few mobs blocking you from exiting your house, but after that you wasted 2 ender pearls.
Really: The item is useless. Use your god damn Diamond Sword, or do not want it to break?

Anyways, this idea is ridiculous. Might make a good mod, but in vanilla? I think not.
How about this:
