Although I can't explain why, my favorite thing in the game is the presence of ancient, abandoned structures above and under the ground (strongholds, pyramids, temples.) I guess I just love delving down into the imaginary confides of unknown history. It fascinates me into constructing large-scale pranks on my friend's server, in which I build underground occultist labyrinths (complete with villager priests and rumored libraries), to scare the pants off of those who dare venture within. These projects, which I arrogantly name "natural architecture," are built with intense care to contain the basic elements of natural structures made by Notch's employees (correct stone brick ratio, irregular floating iron bars, or unevenly-built chambers), resulting in an eerily realistic haunted fortress, well, or bridge. As mentioned, I love the way these things are built, and would therefore like to see more of it in the future. I get a lot of ideas for these structures from reading tales by H.P. Lovecraft, a novelist obsessed with images of endless, cryptic, alien cities and maddeningly horrifying temples of hellish things, all of which lead the protagonist to go insane with fright. If you would seriously like to improve the feeling of these forgotten places, it would be to include fragments of some kind of history to them (written books with curious texts, signs with the like, subterranean churches, or a sacrificial pit with an abandoned monster's cage below.) This is all I can really say, as I think that making these things a bit more complex will create new worlds of adventure for the player.

Calm down, you angry children. If you read a little more carefully you'll see this: "If you would seriously like to improve the feeling of these forgotten places, it would be to include fragments of some kind of history to them (written books with curious texts, signs with the like, subterranean churches, or a sacrificial pit with an abandoned monster's cage below.) This is all I can really say, as I think that making these things a bit more complex will create new worlds of adventure for the player." Jeez, why do you people feel the need to correct me?
Why is everyone telling me to calm down? I was asking a question as a proper critic does when not presented with enough information. You need to learn to answer these questions promptly and calmly to avoid confusion. Also, Badprenup had already answered my question. I provided another asking for detail.
Try to remember when making suggestions you should provide as much information as possible and organize it well. If you need more information on how to write a good suggestion and gain support you may want to read the pinned topics of this forum, there's one that brings up a lot of points on how a suggestion should be.
Anyways you still haven't provided more detail. You just copy and pasted the summary of what you want.
You've come up with a few head pointers (written books with curious texts, signs with the like, subterranean churches, or a sacrificial pit with an abandoned monster's cage below) but not details about each one.
Someone else suggested written books and provided a giant amount of text to go with it on their topic, you may want to go look at that and support it.
Explain more about your sacrificial pit idea. You've given hardly any information as to what these would look like, where they would appear, how often they would appear, their purpose, what makes them special, etc.

Kingdoms rise and fall. Just don't burn the paintings in the Louvre, that's all.

Thank you for such an amazing game,

I need more information on what you mean in order to have an opinion. Can you provide more detail about the things you wish to add?
