Hey their, fellow Minecraftforum...ians. We all know of the new update coming out soon, along with the 'Adventure Mode,' which cancels the ability to break (and place?) blocks. However, for some map-makers, this isn't entirely a good thing. The biggest thing would be being able to place levers, buttons, redstone torches, normal torches, etc. It closes off a lot of possibilities. Such as having to solve a puzzle to get a lever, which you could then use to choose one three paths, or allowing players to place normal torches to light up a very dark area.
What I'm suggesting is, let players be able to place torches, levers, buttons, and redstone torches in the Adventure mode, or be able to choose a 'limited Adventure Mode' where this is possible, while keeping the normal one, where you simply can't place anything.
I would like it if it was just being able to place regular torches. Still, a lot of things can be achieved using Redstone. I'm making an adventure map, and instead of placing torches, there are designated light switches that can be flipped to illuminate an area. I like your idea, though.
What I would REALLY like to see is a menu that chooses what monsters spawn in Adventure mode for that world (EX: I can say that Spiders spawn on this world when in Adventure mode, but this world still has spiders.). It would be great because then I could turn off Creepers so they don't potentially ruin the adventure map, like boundaries and Redstone mechanics.

Yeah, would be nice to be able to disable creepers as well. Or just their block damage.

I've had to write a book in the game that talks about it being OK to disable Creepers with a mod or something, haha. It's the only thing I can think of.

Thanks for reading,
