Stop me if this been suggested before. The Homunculus Potion. I suggest it should be made at a Brewing Station with a Chicken Egg or maybe Seeds or some combination. The exact recipe isn't important.
When a player throws a Homunculus Potion, it spawns a random mob at the location where the glass bottle lands. The mob may be peaceful or hostile.
Also, specific Homunculus Potions could be brewed by adding some remnant of a mob into it. For example, brewing a Feather into a Homunculus Potion would result in a Chicken Homunculus Potion, or Rotten Flesh for a Zombie Homunculus Potion, or a Raw Pork Chop for a Pig Homunculus Potion, or an Ender Pearl for an Enderman Homunculus Potion, etc. In short, the potions would act like an "Egg" for any mob in the game. Well, except for Ender Dragons, of course. i.e., the only difference between an Egg and a Chicken Homunculus Potion would be the potion has a 100% chance of spawn.
Even if this idea has been suggested before, y'know... catchy name, right?I suppose Blaze Homunculus Potions (w/Blaze Powder) would be the rarest and most valuable, since they could spawn Blazes in the Overworld. Actually, Blaze and Ghast Homunculus Potions (w/Ghast Tear) could be very dangerous, since they could start massive forest fires... well, maybe make them exceptions. Or not. Let the player start mayhem if he/she wants.
I do not support this and I don't want it in survival mode. I can get all the animals I want with a little persistence and some wheat thank you very much! And I certainly don't need to waste materials to spawn a mob, kill it for a few bits of xp, and get the same materials I used to make the darn thing.
Nothing but a failed excuse to slip spawn eggs into non-Creative modes where they don't belong.
I have to agree somewhat; this suggestion is basically a spawn egg that spawns completely random things. I don't want players able to spawn blazes, ghasts, or creepers any time they want, it's destructive to the landscape and plain and simple, a griefing tool.
The only part I don't agree with is that spawn eggs don't fit; I think they could, but as a rare drop from mob spawners. That way, creepers and ghasts can't be spawned period and blazes are incredibly unlikely.
This is actually a good idea. Oh, and if it's a griefing tool, the admin can just ban it. If this was implemented, it would fill the gap in survival of not choosing where animals spawn. Also, This could be using in adventure maps and puzzle maps

[quote=Badgerz]You have to keep in mind that people are stupid.
[quote=Catelite]Just because you don't understand how something works, doesn't make it broken or pointless. >_<
We don't need anymore creative mode stuff to be put into survival, hardcore, and adventure.
