It would be a neat aesthetic feature if buildings made by the player would degrade over time as the player spends a long time away from it. For example a stone building would gradually fall apart, the cobblestone would turn into mossy cobble, and vines would grow over it. Structural damage would be minimal, but just enough to show wear. Also, any booby traps left behind would remain intact. What do you think?
Minimal? I'd rather go for "not at all". I don't want my buildings to change, I want them to remain how I first built them. I don't want the game trolling me by changing my building's aesthetics and throwing vines on them.

And no one likes the idea of their precious buildings being destroyed, or changing.
