Hello, all! Here are two ideas for the next Minecraft update, (which would be 1.2.7, I think)

Ruins!
Ruins would be a series of abandoned structues, with missing blocks, and vines. Inside chests, there would be items such as apples, wheat, bones, cob-webs, and iron/stone tier tools with varried use.
Then, there would be a super rare castle, somewhat like an above-ground StrongHold, and every chest would contain some sort of diamond object, solid diamond block being the rarest, and a single diamond being the most common.

World Limit options
Going on the "More World Options" panel would also bring up a seperate panel "World Size Options"
There would be a dimension input, so you could choose your own world size.
Ex. World Size input= 7000 x 20,0100
There also would be just a "Standard" option, which would set the world option to the standard infinite world generation.

1: Well, ruins have already been implemented in various ways such as nether fortresses, desert temples and jungle temples, to name a few. In my opinion, minecraft had enough structures in 1.8, with the introduction of mineshafts, villages and strongholds, and there are a few mods that add content such as castles and forts, like http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/746330-125chocolate-quest-mods-for-the-adventurers-winter-is-coming/.
2: That is actually a great idea. It could be used to prevent new terrain generation like prevent jungles on a 1.7 world, or a survival island seed in which the player can't just craft a boat and go to the mainland.
