As we all know, minecraft currently updating like crazy. Frequent updates and it breaking world saves.
I, as server owner suggesting that mojang slow the updates down. We can't even enjoy our map for 3 full months before another update comes out and brake it.
Make it like, the 1.7.3 to 1.8 transition.
Also, too much updates can be boring. For example, jungle and ocelots, was very interesting when 1.2 comes out. But now ? it is not interesting at all.
If you slow down the updates it can also bring more "excitement" and people will remember that update for longer time.
I'm tired of hearing this...these are snapshots...they are not updates, they are not required for you to get, they are simply previews for the update for people to bug test so that...wait for it...the real update is better quality.
They need to add more "small" features in the Minecraft updates. Example: Maybe more effects like better hurt sounds, better bow sounds, mob improvements, animated grass, aesthetic birds.
They need to add more. Would you rather have no ocelots, ruins, or the other new things added (better boats, enchantment fixes) in 6 months? We should be happy they get updates in so fast.
They shouldn't slow down, they should make better updates i nstead of bigger updates. Its about quality, not quantity
/agree
But i also think they could be adding more stuff sooner, work on big updates but while they do that, add another type of pyramid (suggestion for after 1.3) stuff like that, so the stuff we dont have dosent get boring as fast, and they can still release big updates.
Also, I think the OP's Signature is pretty rude....
Gamebreaking?
Pardon me, but what part of the recent updates; which are trading, written books, buffs to various systems, reductions in lag/bugs, and new structures (which will not generate in old parts of your game) is "gamebreaking" to you?
Minecraft releases a steady supply of snapshots. These are beta tests to make the full updates better. We have not, as said above, had an update in about 2 months. You are not forced to download these snapshots, nor are you even forced to download the updates when they come out. Quit whining about things you can control by simply unchecking "update" and not clicking little blue links.

we can't even enjoy our map for 3 months, 1.3 is near
Actually, mojang is saying that it will be several weeks before 1.3 will come out, so you can still make that 3 month mark on your server.
I dont want to be the one that says dont update, but I am saying it.
