Think about it. Minecraft for the Nintendo DS. This would possibly require deals with Nintendo, but what with the Xbox version being such an apparent hit, I thought it could appeal to a younger audience.
My control scheme: Control Pad to move. Stylus to look around. Tap to mine/place. Tap an item to use/move it. X is settings menu. B is items menu. Y is crafting menu. Start is pause. Select is the sound menu. L or R views a map on the bottom screen. Bottom screen is 1st person or map. Top screen is 3rd person. These can be switched in the settings menu.
Feel free to correct me if you think it's a better use.
Don't make me laugh, not only are the chances of nintendo teaming up with mojang 1 out of 10000 but the DS would be hopeless at running minecraft.
this ^ plus i dont think people would want to pay another bloody $10-$20, with that money i would rather buy some alts to grief... i mean test the permissions on my server with...

U serious? There's already an fan-created version of minecraft for the DS, and it runs perfectly. The content is not much due to still being a WIP, but the DS is capable of running it at medium render distance.

What? We don't need more porting for Minecraft to other consoles.
I don't have an Xbox, I am not allowed to get Minecraft on my PC, and Classic won't run. Also, I don't have an iPhone, or an Android, or whatever Minecraft Pocket Edition is on. I would love to play Minecraft, but I olny have a DS Lite and a Wii. If I had an iPhone, I might play, but I want it on the DS. You guys are calling me an idiot for suggesting this, and I am offended. I would like some support, but all I get is essentially "hahaha noob" reactions. Just because I am not a hardcore Minecraft player doesn't mean I'm a noob. Please contribute your ideas instead of putting me down! I am a 12-year old boy and I don't understand everything. Minecraft is not my life, unlike some of you. Let me try this again: What are your ideas? Please only write your improvements, not your comments on its doability.
I think it is a pretty good idea but the whole mojang micriosoft contract thing mojang just could ask to port minecraft and plus minecraft would become much and I mean MUCH more popular then it already is and plus if microsoft sayed yes to the quistion that mojang asked them then all mojang would have to do then is ask nintendo and possibly it might happen the chances are extremely slim if that could happen oh and one more thing if minecraft gets popular on the DS what if they moved it to wiiU awesome and I give you complete support.
This will not happen due to an agreement made between Mojang and Microsoft. This thread is being locked because: it is not a suggestion of what should be added to the game, it is not something that is possible, and it is a redundant thread.
