I saw a suggestion like this a while ago, but I can't find it any more. So here it is.
Animated doors, and trap doors.
Notch animated chests, so why not doors and trap doors. I think that it would add a nice detail to minecraft. One the previous topic it mentioned the speed it would open, and how it would effect multi-player, so it you sprinted while opening the door it would open very quickly and make a loud noise (alerting anyone in the area), just walking and opening the door would make it open at a moderate speed and would make the same noise as it does now. And when you crouch and open the door it opens very slowly but makes a very quiet noise, or maybe a squeek.
Tell me if you think this would be useful, or if it would be bad in multiplayer.
Maybe you can rip the door off, walk in, and put the door back by animating the player grabbing the sides of the door and pull it out, walk in while holding the door, and put it back in place.

I also like the volume of sounds being adjusted by movement speed...this would be cool if it was implemented not just for doors but for stuff like chests as well! +1 to yuku
me and my friends are making a game in unity, using javascript, our coder cant get the animation for a door to open for his life, its not easy believe it or not.
