I had two ideas for new potions, the first is the potion of leaping. You make it by brewing an awkward potion with a slimeball. It is a bright green potion and when you drink it, you can jump 3 blocks into the air for 3 minutes. If you brew it with some redstone dust, you can jump up 3 blocks for six minutes, and if brewed with glowstone dust for tier 2, you can jump five blocks up for one minute. This potion would be awesome for combat and extreme terrain and would allow map makers to add major depth to their parkour maps. The next potion is the potion of landing. It is purple-ish black and when drunk you will have enderman particle effects. It is brewed with an ender pearl and reduces fall damage by half for three minutes. When the tier is improved with glowstone, fall damage is reduced by 3 quarters for one minute and when brewed with redstone dust, the default effect is prolonged to last six minutes. This would let you travel much easier with ender pearls (because the damage from them is classified as fall damage) And would allow you to get down from high places much easier. What do you think about these potions?

This would need some sort of mechanic to control your height, as you might find yourself jumping too high into some sort of hazard.

Not needed. We have the "Feather Falling" enchantment for boots.
This would need some sort of mechanic to control your height, as you might find yourself jumping too high into some sort of hazard.
I was kind of just thinking an exaggerated version of the current jumping mechanics. I kind of want it to be a bit sketchy

I suppose, but this would be an alternative for long journeys so maybe I don't lose the boots. We also have both strength potions and strength enchantments on weapons.
I like the idea of a jumping potion, but a potion of "flight" might confuse some players who drink it and expect to fly. A potion of leaping sounds like a more suitable name. But really anything that doesn't sound like it would do something else is fine.
A potion that halves fall damage would be helpful, especially for people who prefer to have boots with defensive enchantments instead of feather-falling, and imo making a potion is easier than enchanting your gear. The brewing should use a feather if it's meant to make your falling hurt less, but an ender pearl is perfectly fine seeing as it's very related to falling.
