In the day the solar panel charges up and powers all nearby redstone. In the night, for the first 3 minutes it charges near by redstone and then it starts losing power, while its losing power, the redstone also loses power. If the solar panel dosent get enough light in the day it will not charge. It takes around 3 minutes to charge up completly. The solar panel is made out of 5 blocks of obsidian and 4 blocks of redstone. You put blocks of obsidian in the corner and redstone between them, and then you put obsidian in the middle. If the solar panel is not linked to any redstone, it will not power anything and will still lose power. The solar panel also has a durability. After a whole minecraft week, the solar panel will break and will give you 1-4 redstone and 1-3 obsidian.Mobs have a small 5% chance of breaking the solar panel if they walk on it, but it will drop the solar panel.

I see you're new. Welcome to the forums! Anyway, if you didn't read the rules, no posting things that are useless. Redstone can be infinitely powered by a lever.
Am I the only one that thinks you made this far too complex? Can´t you just simplify it to be; "When the light level is above 12 it would power all connected redstone." And then you could add some uses for it, and crafting recipes.

Yes but this can be used for adventure maps which would be good, and on multiplayer stuff for lets say a mob grinder or something

Dude,
A. Light Level 12 is sunlight level, so 14 doesn't work!!!
B. First, you can change textures in an adventure map by simply using a texture pack!
Second, you can use the new villager Al to make day/night detectors! Just look it up on these forums or on Youtube!

(Gold because gold nanoparticles boost organic solar panel efficiency, and gold is currently near useless in Minecraft)
