I'd like to think that this is a noteworthy idea, Even if it lacks originality...
In the middle of the tundra you'll sometimes see what looks like a large ship poking out of the snow, Partially buried and ruined by time and nature.
How did a ship get out of the water to become buried in the snow?
Well, Remember how indev used to be nothing but tiny islands popping out of the infinite ocean? And weather was ALWAYS hot and sunny?
I'd like to think that time period was during some form of gloabal warming witch caused the sea to be MUCH higher than it is now... High to the point where what's now a mountain biome used to be one of the many islands barely popping out from the water.
This would mean that the tundra used to be the sea floor, Witch would explain a random ship poking out of the snow...
ENOUGH EXPLAINING THE LOGIC OF HOW THE HELL THE BOAT'S THERE, LET'S GET TO THE GOOD PART SHALL WE?
Inside the ship is the usual loot, Iron and gold and diamonds YAY!
But, rather than traps like in the other temples/dungeons you gotta FIGHT for your loot.
Packed inside the ships are ****LOADS OF SKELETAL SAILORS armed with iron armor and diamond swords. They don't despawn but they also never spawn again...
Aswell as the diamond sword weilding skeletons is ONE that wields a flintlock pistol that he drops on death, Witch I'm about to explain... (No, It's not going to be some high damage rapid fire piece of crap that turns this game into an fps...)
THE PIECE OF **** GUN THAT YOU'LL ALL HATE BECAUSE "no guns!"
The flintlock has the SAME damage as a fully charged bow, The only thing it really has over the bow is that you don't need to hold down the right mouse button for 3 seconds before firing...
HOWEVER, After firing the bullet. (Witch travels twice as fast as an arrow and has almost no ark) you DO have to hold down the mouse button until it's reloaded, Witch takes the same amount of time as charging the bow...
The flintlock, Being a rare "artifact" weapon has a decent amount of duribility... I'm thinking 2 or 3x that of a bow.
Bullets are found in the ships aswell as sticking a gunpowder and an iron ingot in the crafting table, Giving you ONE bullet.
Another note witch makes this crummy gun worse in every way than the bow: It's NOT enchantable, NO FLAMING BULLETS THAT 2HIT MONSTERS FOR YOU PAL!
That's the jest of this idea, A crummy half baked dungeon with a shitty toy that'll make cod lovers jizz themselves.
Make the reload time a bit longer, and I'll support. These things should be rare, too. Tundra biomes tend to be massive, but no more than one or two of these should spawn per biome.
Honestly, I have no problem with a gun or two being added, so as long as it isn't modern or futuristic. If you're going to add a shipwreck or buried ship, you're going to need to add loot that fits it. A flintlock pistol isn't super modern. (at least not more than redstone wiring, possibly less modern) Quite frankly, I'd like a few pirate-themed things and for a buried ship or shipwreck at sea would fit the bill. Also, shipwrecks and buried ships should be a good place to find emeralds, gold, and possibly a diamond or few. After all, we're talking about deceased pirates, right?
Anyhow, with pyramids and jungle temples being the place for traps, I feel shipwrecks and buried ships should be the place for lots of mobs and possibly a mini-boss/ boss. Oh, and I honestly don't like the skeletons all having armor. I think it should vary. Some skeles would have leather armor (up to full set), with the standard bow and arrow. Some skeles would have iron armor. (usually helmet and/ or chestplate, but never full set) The rarest ones (the ones most likely to drop a flintlock) would have a piece of diamond armor and maybe a gold helmet, coupled with iron armor. (They'd be the only ones in a full set of armor, aside from the occassional full set leather skeles.)
Also, diamond swords? How about we vary that as well? The majority of them would have either stone or iron swords, while the head honcho(s) have a diamond swords and possibly a flintlock. (If at all possible, I'd like to see enemies that could switch weapons.)
Ehh.. I don't know how well that'd work, but I would prefer that the armor and weapons would vary.

"I don't plan to add a new dimension at the moment. It's just to performance heavy on servers, and the current dimensions need more attention before we start adding new ones." < Yeah, like biomes or actual varied terrain in the nether. Nether ruins didn't do the trick at all.

That's a very good idea sir, However...
I was trying to make the suggestion fit the current mold of how mobs/other things already are.
IE: Lack of random armors/weapons. I was under the impression that's not gonna happen, Seeing as how you don't already have skeletons with swords or zombie pigmen with bows and armor.
I had figured armors/weapons were something that couldn't be randomized on mobs.
