I noticed sometimes how deserts will run up against taiga biomes. This annoys me.
I say they should find a way to implement realistic biomes like the closer you get to the coordinate (0,0), you would get more deserts and jungles. The same for the farther away you get, the more taiga and tundra biomes generate.
I agree that is annoying but your method doesn't really solve that. I don't really know the details of how worlds are generated but I know there must be a way to keep unrealistic terrain from forming without a decent transition buffer. That's really what needs to be done.
It's not like the Earth makes anymoresense than Minecraft. You'll notice deserts next to forests in the real world too, Mother Nature is all out of cares to give for your insignificant OCD.
I'm a mod dev, and from looking at the code, it seems like setting where biomes generate is nearly impossible. You can make sub biomes to smooth transitions, but not actually arrange biomes in a logical order.

~I hope others agree with me on this.
