Your character has hands (sort of) but he doesn't have anything to put on his hands. I've seen mods with gloves but they look to bulky.
But there IS something that can be worn on your hands that is nowhere near bulky.
Rings.
Rings, when worn, look like a little line on Steve's hand. You can wear up to 4. Two on each hand. Rings can be made out of the following:
Sticks
Smooth Stone
Iron
Gold
You craft them by putting them in a ring shape with 4 of the material. Stick rings produce 1 ring. The others produce 4 rings.
You can even place a gem into rings. To place a gem in a ring you only need to place the gem above the ring in a crafting table. You can place the following in a ring:
Diamond
Lapis Lazuli
Glass
Emerald
If my math is correct this gives a total of 12 different rings. This can give players more individuality to an extent. I see to many players in servers wearing full diamond armour with only the faces on their skins differentiating them along with their username.
Other than this rings have two more uses.
You can trade them to villagers for a few emeralds.
OR you can enchant them.
Rings can be enchanted much better than any item... Usually.
The material of the ring and its gem determine its enchantability. To compare, each piece of diamond armour has an enchantability of 15. The number to the right of the material is the enchantability level.
Stick ring - 2
Stone Ring - 1
Iron Ring - 5
Gold Ring - 20
A gold ring is only bested in enchantability by gold armour. But you can have 4 rings. AND you can place a gem to further increase enchantability. The gem is to the left and the amount it increases enchantability by is on the right.
Rings can give excellent enchantments. However they provide no armour by themselves. Plus they only provide utility enchantments. Here are some I thought would work:
Speed
All tools mine %5 faster for each level. Max Level: 10
Regen
Sleeping in a bed until morning fully recovers all health and Stamina
Fists of Fury
Unarmed attacks do 1 heart more damage per level. Max Level: 2
Merchant
All offers for trading by villagers are %5 cheaper per level. Max Level: 5
Uh, the problem with this is that the very cheap rings can be enchanted, and get basically the same as the powerful rings, making the powerful ones useless. And the fact that you can wear 4 at a time makes it slightly more overpowered, seeing as you can have a bunch of super effects from a some sticks and some glass. And they would never run out, so whut.
So, it'd be a good idea if you balanced it more, make cheaper things weaker.
Well, I guess I messed up in the enchantability numbers. I edited them now to be lower for most of the 'weaker' materials. 4 Rings I thought would make sense because people have 10 fingers. I thought 10 rings would be way too overpowered though. 4 was a good balance in my mind at first.

What do you think? Should this be added?
Oh wait! There is!
I am ninja'd far too often.

It's better if they would do more weapons and armors instead of adding jewelry.
