Imagine walking through the desert, on your last leg, then suddenly you see some wood or cobblestone sticking out of the sand... You rush over and dig some of it out. You fall through a hole, and find yourself in an old, dusty home which belonged to testificates long ago. Or what if you're lost in a snow biome, and see the church of an old village sticking out of the snow, so you go toward it. No villagers around, just the lonely hiss of the wind. These strange, abandoned villages could be Ghost Towns!
Here is my idea and what Ghost Towns could include:
-Found in any biome: Ghost towns could be found in any weather-controlled biome, such as: Snow, desert, grassland, jungle, and forest. Ghost towns in desert, snow, or jungle would typically be covered up by what is mostly found in them. If one was found in the desert, it would be engulfed by sand, and you would have to dig it out. If it were in a snow biome, it would have snow all over it, and parts of it would be buried in snow blocks. In a jungle, there would be vines all over it, as well as mossy cobblestone, which would replace about %45 of the blocks which are used to create the buildings.
-Mobs for Ghost Towns: There would be no villagers, since it is a ghost town. There would, however, be skeletons and zombies within the buildings.
-Conditions: The buildings would have holes in the walls and roofs, as well as no glass in the windows, and most of them would be missing doors. There would also be cobwebs within the houses, which indicate they are extremely old. They would also have no light source via torches.
-Chests: Most of the houses and buildings would have up to two chests within them. The chests have a %75 chance of holding bones, rotten flesh, and raw meats. It has a %25 chance of holding diamonds, emeralds, and diamond pickaxes.
What needs to be added? What needs to be upgraded? What needs to be taken away? Share your opinions, comments, and ideas down in the comments!
There could be a journal found in one of the chests, which could have few pages that generate from a randomizer of over 100 different journal entries, which could be like modules, and could fit in any order, and with any of the other entries. It would be interesting to find a generated journal, telling what had happened to the town.

They would be the same size as a normal village, just in ruins, and usually buried xD
