Do you ever get that feeling where your armor is starting to die? Ever want to be able to give your almost-broken diamond pick-axe eternal life? Well stop your crying, because I present to you, the Hanger (Hint, I'm trying to come up with a better name)!
What is the Hanger? Well, it's just basically a small hook the width of a regular sized block, and the length about a quarter of a block extending out, and the height of a sixth of a block. It looks all woody, and has the same texture of a wooden plank. It also has some hooks protruding out of the Hanger.
What it basically does is hang all of your items that have the Mineral Tiers option! So for example, let's imagine this scene:
1.) So you're basically walking back home, and you're loaded with diamonds. But you're Iron Pick-Axe is almost dead, and one more break of a block, and it snaps right in half! I don't quite think you'd want that right? You'd probably want to remember that time you mined your first Diamond in that World. So you make a Hanger, and you hang it up! And it shows the good and hard work you put into it when you mined your Diamonds!
Here's another scenario:
2.) Your house is completely decorated with flowers, paintings, bookshelves, all that. But the walls itself are boring as staying in school for the whole day! You don't want to put any more paintings because you've already hung so much, you've used up almost all your materials! All you have left are some sticks and planks and vice versa. You craft Hangers, and you put all these neat looking Items on them to make your house look absolutely spiffing!
Last Scenario:
3.) You're running away from a couple of zombies, and your Iron Sword or whatever Tier it is has broke, and all you have left are your punches of pain. But it's not enough to beat 5 zombies! You'll get slaughtered! You rush toward your house, and you have an Iron Sword hung up against the wall. You pick it up, and you begin to slay the living daylights out of the zombies! You then hang the Sword back, in case of emergencies.
So if you had read these scenarios, you can tell the uses for them are:
1.) Remembrance of Good Memories.
2.) Decoration.
3.) Emergencies.
To craft it, you should look at the bottom:
If you do this, you will get two hangers. If you right-click any surface, it will then appear, and it will stick to that wall. Destroying it wields one Hanger. This will allow you to hang any Utility Item that has enabled Material Tiers. The way the items get hanged are listed here:
1.) Pickaxe: 45 Degree Angle, headed NE, Big Top
2.) Axe: Big Part headed toward right, 180 Degree Angle
3.) Hoe: Same as Pickaxe, but Stick heads toward 45 Degree Angle
4.) Shovel: Toward diagonal bottom right, Big Top facing down
5.) Sword: Always upwards or downwards. Varies.
Now, if you put two Hangers together (next to each other) , you will then create a Double Hanger!
It has the same texture as wood, and it has two spacings in it. Other than that, it looks just like an ordinary Hanger.
What this does, is that you are able to hang two Handle Tools at once! So if you right click it with a Pickaxe for example, it will hang it. But if you right-Click it again with another Pickaxe, you just hanged up two Pickaxes at the same time! They will always criss-cross each other from left-to-right, or right-to-left. That's double the times of decor right there! When you take both of them out at once, it will replace an empty slot with those two Pickaxes. If you don't have empty space, it stays there.
If you didn't read the above, here's the summary:
-Added Hangers That allow you to hang Handle Tools
-Added Double Hangers allowing you to hang two Handle Tools
-Items will not protrude out
-Added for decor, emergencies, and etc.

This topic has already been suggested and acknowledged by Mojang in the form of Display Cases/Racks (click here, scroll down or find "Display") I suggest supporting those ideas rather than continuing this one; it will divide support on the issue. Besides, Hangers sound too much like what you have in Skyrim.

As this player states, This idea seems like you worked on it and it looks like a lot of effort was put in. But Mojang has already acknowledged this idea therefore, I'm locking up this thread. Nice job though!
Thanks, Will
