Hello. I've been thinking for awhile of a lot of things that would help Minecraft. And now, I'm putting those ideas into a suggestion that I will continue to expand... as soon as I find the master list I wrote everything down on. NOW! First off, FIX THE DAMN MAP LIGHT GLITCH. It rarely happens in vanilla, which is why I don't think it's been addressed. But ask anyone who plays maps during 1.1 and after... it's a real problem that's so far barely been addressed. The crashing has been fixed, but that's it. CTM maps especially.
My gripe comes with entities. First off, separate entities: Charged Creeper and the Spider Jockey. Now these are not 'official' entities, and as such, people cannot make spawners out of them. Heck, a spider and a skeleton disconnect when you leave and re-enter the world. Now, I believe these should be actual entities so that they can be spawnerized.
Next, unofficial spawn eggs. You know, boat eggs and minecraft eggs, and things like Giants and Enderdragons and Snow Golems... hell, there were even particle effects and painting eggs. (though painting ones crashed the game). These were removed in 1.2, and I believe that's a bad idea, in retrospect. It was insanely fun to mess with those. My proposition is they be re-enabled, and each of the entity eggs be looked over, and the ones that crash the game be either removed, or made to where they don't crash the game. They should also be given proper names. entity.something.class doesn't make for a good name (I think it was like that, I could be wrong... wasn't like that for all of them, mainly like particle eggs and such.)
Building off my previous suggestion, there's 4 eggs in particular I want looked at. Monster, Giant, Enderdragon, and Snow Golem. See below...
So first, the Enderdragon and Snow Golem should be made into official eggs. They just need an official texture and to be put into official lists... like the Creative Items list, for example. A tweak I want to the Enderdragon... could it be prevented from being spawned from spawners if you're on Peaceful? Somewhat annoying, to say the least. They should also not be able to destroy Mob Spawners... so that they can be properly spawnerized.
As for Monsters (Steve Mob, often called Herobrine) and Giants. Giant spawners should be enabled to work. They can be made, but do not work, sadly. I dislike this... Giants are actually a very interesting mob! Like Ghasts, they should be able to detect you from 50 blocks away (I think it's 50, at least) because 16 doesn't cut it for a mob of its size. Naturally, it should also have experience. As for a drop, I've been thinking of an extremely rare and special Golden Egg. It can be traded to villagers (coming in 1.3!) for a hefty amount of Emeralds, or hatched into a Golden Goose by throwing it, which would have an unnatural amount of health, use Golden Nuggets as a food, and, albeit at random and very uncommonly... rather than an egg... a Golden Block. They die instantly in water, sunlight, lava, fire, if they touch grass, or if you feed them anything gold larger than a nugget. Back to Giants, they should have either Bows or Large Clubs. Clubs can hit you from 10 blocks away, and arrows can be launched at you at 50 blocks away to very large distances. HUGE ARROW FTW!
Monsters should be given experience, first off. About as much as a zombie. They should also have varying weapons... from bows to all kinds of swords, and wear armor. Although rarely, they might have enchanted armor or weapons. Even rarer, they might drop what they're wearing or holding. They might also have potions which they might drink in battle, or even throw, if they're a splash potion. They'd throw good ones at themselves, bad ones at you. Essentially giving them more of an AI feel than a mindless drone.
Although I don't know if this has been changed yet, Testificates that spawn should be different. If it can be done with eggs, it can be done with spawners.
Now, some might argue my requests are really map-specific. But maps are a huge part of Minecraft. We need something to do when vanilla fails us. Modding is one. Maps are another. You've been treating multiplayer and Mods recently very well. Give us mappers a bit of love. :3

Seems like it might make a decent mod but not in vanilla. I like re adding giants though. Just fix there collision or whatever the problem was with their size.

Nice to know I'm not the only one out there that finds this annoying! Do you have any idea how fun it was to mess with the primed TNT eggs? Just a simple right click and a sudden and immediate BOOM! There's actually a mod that re-enables them for 1.2.3, if you want the link. It;s only a single .class that gets edited.
