Actually, you can bump once every 12 hours. I only recently learned of this rule lol
You could? Cool!
Maybe it's extremely flammable. As in, explode and set everything around on fire flammable. This would only happen if it got set on fire, though, it wouldn't do this automatically.

It is very weak to fire, but I'm not so sure about making it explosive.
However, that could be an interesting mechanic... Having it turn into napalm if you set it on fire could lead to some interesting strategies with needing to destroy it.

Why not make it "explosive" but don't have much blast strenght? Like the ghast's fireball?
Also maybe you can make inert goo blocks that explode like this when activated by redstone, but don't spread like it usually does.
I just had a really cool idea for the creeping goo drop. It could be crafted with a piston to make a block breaker. It would break blocks and drop the blocks as an item. It should also be made in crafting a unique block.
I think the block breaker kind of makes sense seen as the creeping goo actually eats its way though blocks. So the creeping goo eats its way into a block to weaken it and then the piston finishes the block off.
I know you may be thinking 'slime rip off' but this will make for a LOT of cool contraptions!
this definitely should be made into a mod if not implemented into the game
Sounds good. Though once we go there, we'd need to add allocators, deployers, auto crafting...
Not really. You could still make some little automatic farms etc with this technique. However some way of getting dropped items into chests would be a good idea. Unless the piston just puts the item into its own little inventory?
Call it a sense of completeness. In any case, Jeb and Notch were considering a "funnel block" that would be like the allocator a while back. We'll see where this goes.
Oh really? Sounds like a cool idea. Yeah we'll see how it goes. We can already filter different items though so I doubt we need an allocator specifically. We just need something to get items into chests. Actually I suggested a block which should have an icy top (so items slide on it) and when powered by a redstone signal it produces a stationary floating item of what ever is inside it, on top of it.
This item would have an infinite lifespan but would also be un-moveable. It would encourage stacking of that particular item too. I.e. it allows specific sorting. Then all we would need is a way of getting items into a chest. This would also mean that the system would be complicated so people wouldn't do it until late on in the game so it wouldn't be a game breaker.
Try, but we'd still need a way to get items out of chests so they can be moved and sorted. Some sort of allocator without a filter.
Why exactly is Registeel the reference for a siege monster? Also, perhaps you could make models of the Creeping Goo block and the Siege Monster. Finally, what if the block of goo could act as a trampoline, where you jump on it and it launches you about 10 blocks into the air?
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
The funny thing is, by the time you finish reading this, you will have wasted about four seconds of your life...
Maybe we could also have small passive mobs that are little blue sparkles that give off 2-3 blocks of light. They fly around the corridors of the stronghold trying to find the player, and when they find the player, they lead the player through the stronghold to either a small room with a chest holding various goodies (cookies, ender pearls, etc.) or a room with creeping goo inside. There would only be 1 per stronghold. You would not be able to damage it (it's a transparent little wisp of light). It's name would be something along the lines of Ender. (Ender Spirit, Spirit of Ender, Ender Sprite, etc.).

I like the sound of this idea, but I don't think I will add it to the OP.

I actually came up with how the Siege Monster looks before ever seeing a Registeel. I saw my brother playing Pokemon one day and saw it, and I realised that it looked kind of like my Siege Monster idea and decided to use it as an image example.

Hmm, maybe. I'm not sure though, this idea is about the Goo, not strongholds in general.
@ Discussion about allocators and whatnot:
Please stay on topic. The allocator is a great suggestion that I feel should be added, but this thread isn't the place to be discussing it.
ALSO:
I am really considering the idea of making the Goo highly flammable, almost like napalm, and being able to put it into bottles and whatnot to be used as a fire-based weapon.
Like, If an admin saw whis you would NOT be happy.

Thanks for the support! It doesn't quite look like a Registeel, but it's a good approximation. I'm glad you like the idea
Bump.
More feedback please!

This is non-negotiable.
Like, If there's a cat within 15 meters of them the enderman will pick the cat up and teleport around with it until the cat dies.
...Because endermen know of the cat's true nature, And their plans to destroy the end.
what
So cat-phobia is a universal mob trait?
(Or combat with monsters if you spawn them in the right place and add soulsand in the arena.)
OMG IT MAKES SENSE
CREEPING goo, CREEPERS.
And creepers hate cats, so it makes sense. Hax!
