I've noticed many bad things done with villagers that Mojang refuses to change for some reason. I would like to bring to attention some things that are annoying, and should be changed.
First off, the breeding system is probably one of the worst ideas I have ever seen. To fix this, instead of 3 doors per villager, make it 1 house per villager, this makes more sense and should not be that hard to do.
Secondly the textures for the villagers look ugly, I have read somewhere that they are getting changed, but that was followed by a "[Citation Needed]".
Next is their AI, I find them to be incredibly stupid, and this ends up with them getting stuck.
Finally, make the villages spawn better. I hate fixing a village because of a slight hill.

"For some reason"?

...This would make villages insanely huge. You would have to make a new house every time you wanted just one new villager to show up.

Maybe everyone else in the world might not think this way?

Minecraft AI is not perfect, and I'm sure Mojang will refine this on their own times.
Finally, make the villages spawn better. I hate fixing a village because of a slight hill.
You don't seem to be very sharp on how Minecraft generation codes work.

Hey, you there. Yes, you! Are you thinking about posting a suggestion on the forums anytime soon? If so, please read this before doing so.

You covered EVERY point I was going to make.
Just Because you don't "Like" part of minecraft dose NOT mean it has to be changed for EVERYONE. I think it works fine how it is but that's just me, sure the roads are messed up and they get stuck in holes but Mojang will most likely fix it in due time
...This would make villages insanely huge. You would have to make a new house every time you wanted just one new villager to show up.
What? Maybe it is just me but I don't understand what you are saying there. Your first sentence says that just needing one door for a new villager would make villages too big (in terms of villagers living in the village, of course) The second sentence contradicts the first one though, saying, in a very exasperating (as much as can be expressed through text) that just get just one more villager you would have to build one more house, as compared to what? Having to build THREE houses to get just one villager?
Although you gotta admit, if the current way it works requires three houses (I am not sure how it works though, so feel free to correct me about anything) for one more villager, doesn't that mean two/thirds of the houses are empty? That doesn't seem right, after all, who builds three houses for just one person?
I would say the only problem I see is the system that relies on doors when zombies can break down doors.I think that can be fixed by adding
villagers that replace doors.
I've noticed many bad things done with villagers that Mojang refuses to change for some reason. I would like to bring to attention some things that are annoying, and should be changed. This here clearly shows your failure to read the news posts; villages and the villagers that inhabit them are the item at the tipity-top of Mojang's long list.
First off, the breeding system is probably one of the worst ideas I have ever seen. To fix this, instead of 3 doors per villager, make it 1 house per villager, this makes more sense and should not be that hard to do. I fail to see how:
The breeding system failed in the first place
Why this would fix anything even if something was broken and
Why this makes more sense than the current system.
Secondly the textures for the villagers look ugly, I have read somewhere that they are getting changed, but that was followed by a "[Citation Needed]". Uh, no. They're fine. Just because they aren't human-like in shape and appearance means they're ugly? They're perfectly fine. You just expected Pigmen or humans or something and didn't get what you wanted. Sucks to be you, then.
Next is their AI, I find them to be incredibly stupid, and this ends up with them getting stuck. No, really? I wonder if this is why Mojang hired a new AI expert some months ago!? I'm sorry, but...just wow. No description of what you even want, and failure to notice the AI improvements recently implemented.
Finally, make the villages spawn better. I hate fixing a village because of a slight hill. They should only spawn in flat areas. Read below for quote. Therefore, a hill will only occur in a desert biome, and this is rare.
This here clearly shows your failure to read the news posts; villages and the villagers that inhabit them are the item at the tipity-top of Mojang's long list. I read the wiki on a bunch of stuff at least once a week, there hasn't been much in the future section, so how am I supposed to know?
I fail to see how:
The breeding system failed in the first place
Why this would fix anything even if something was broken and
Why this makes more sense than the current system.
1, it is annoying to build houses that don't get used. 2, It wasn't broken, but it is more of a problem. 3, Most villager houses have 1 or 2 doors, and not 3. Also I mean detecting 1 house, and NOT 1 door.
Uh, no. They're fine. Just because they aren't human-like in shape and appearance means they're ugly? They're perfectly fine. You just expected Pigmen or humans or something and didn't get what you wanted. Sucks to be you, then. The villagers are half human, half I have no idea. You can make non-human creatures look good, Mojang just failed to do so with Villagers.
No, really? I wonder if this is why Mojang hired a new AI expert some months ago!? I'm sorry, but...just wow. No description of what you even want, and failure to notice the AI improvements recently implemented. Why did Mojang hire an AI coder? Because Notch or Jeb can't do it themselves. Frankly that aren't that great of programmers, especially if it is easy to program a hacked client, make mods like Technic, and improve servers 10-fold with plugins. You can say AIs are difficult to program, but look at Mo' Creatures and tell me that it isn't possible to do such things.
They should only spawn in flat areas. Read below for quote. Therefore, a hill will only occur in a desert biome, and this is rare. Plains have slight hills, and so do deserts. Those throw off the gravel paths, cause buildings spawn in weird ways, and not to mention ravines and other indents generated.

I've been hoping this would be fixed for some time. While I do agree with everything you've mentioned, I would like to see villages spawn mostly flat or at least more evenly so gravel roads aren't blocking doors or fallen into caverns and so that there isn't a hill level with one of the rooftops of the houses.
Not the Wiki, the News Posts here on the forum. More specifically, the ones concerning the AMA sessions. A few members of Mojang said quite clearly that villages and villagers are to be worked on.
Like said above;
...This would make villages insanely huge.
It would; you'll notice the size currently, it's a fairly decent size. Your idea pretty much multiplies villagers by three. They don't have any way to really tell them apart that well just yet; so you'd be stuck sorting through a multitude of villagers to find the one you sell wheat to. It could use some cleaning up, but not in this way.
Again, they look perfectly fine. You aren't the first person to suggest a villager design change. Many people are fine with how they look, and in cases of opinion, majority rules, I'm afraid.
Ok, lots wrong with this point: First off, they hired an AI coder because they wanted some expert help, not because they can't. I fail to see how making the technic pack results in you saying Mojang has bad coders. They're better than you could ever even hope to be, so don't say they're bad. Your definition of "improving" servers is very opinionated. Minecraft appeals to all, that means Mojang must make the game not have too much of this or too little of this. Some things have to be struck out completely to keep everyone happy. Most plugins aren't liked by many members of the community, or serve no purpose for others. For example, let's take a jail command plugin: This may be useful for someone, but look deeper; some people don't learn their lesson, making banning a more effective punishment, some servers can't have a jail building due to theme or location issues, some simply don't like having jail. Thus, it's a plugin. Mo'Creatures isn't exactly AI, as far as I can tell, it's taking the original Minecraft AI and adding a bunch of different mobs that follow this. For those that do actually have better AI, yes, it's incredibly hard to make. It's possible, but simply put, hard. The creator or Mo'Creatures spent a lot of time working on that AI, don't go around saying it's easy and anyone can do it.
Even taking in the probability of a hill spawning and a ravine spawning, you're still hundreds of times more likely not to get a bugged up village.
My ideas for villagers are right here. they should make villagers capable of makeing new houses that way instead of haveing kids to match the number of house new houses would be made too match the number of villagers. this also might help stop them from dieing off which is very anoying. also to prevent villagers from dieing to extenction (which always happens to me even on peacfull) the reprodution rate should be increased, and if no villagers are detected 2 more will be spawned without being born. also every 1-3 villagers should have there own house which they return to every night and never go 40 or more blocks away. when a villager is grown up it should make itself a house based on its ocupation when it breeds with another villager the kid lives with them (if they live in a shed or small house they will move out at this point and the house is ocupied by another villager) until the kid grows up at which point he will builds another house or occupy a available one. after one kid grows up the parents will have another kid soon. if one adult dies then the villager who breed with it will find another villager to fall in love with. sometimes villagers will cheat with their partner and they will break up. i also have several ideas for new occupations for villagers. my first one is a hunter they go out and kill mobs and pick up or/and sell there loot. they sell any drops of any mob passive aggressive or neutral if you right click on hunters you see an option to go hunting together and split the loot. after you click this you can not just walk away and have him give you 1/2 the loot you actually need to follow him and help him or he wont share the loot with you at the end of hunting you must put all the loot to him and he will divide it in half, they never cheat you out of loot. number 2 a merchant villager they can ofer literally any legit item but not like end portal frame. or you can offer an item and they will tell you how much they will buy it for and that could be any item. so when he's offering 5 raw chicken for an emerald you could put in 1 bone into the input slot and his deal will change to the equivalent price which might be 10 bones for 1 emerald after every trade a new item is alway offered by him to trade.
