Im not very good with making cool pictures so i will just use words to sort of give you a visual. Imagine having the ability to repair tools and armor, such as a diamond pick repaired with diamond, and if you have a certein amount levels built up you could also repair enchanted weapons.
- the block that would beplaced would look like an anvil and can be placed anywhere and takes up 2 blocks of width and 1 block of height.
- the recipie would cost 1 iron block and 6 iron ingot and would look like this on a crafting grid.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- IBI B= iron block 0I0 I = iron ingot III 0=empty slot
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- the anvil could also be used to improve weapons or decorate armor with leather
- better weapons could be made here with the new emeralds that will be put in along with diamonds or obsidian.
- can not be stacked
- takes about as long to break as obsidian
that is all i could come up with for use's for now, i hope you got the picture of what i was getting at and thanks for reading.
I don't know how many people actually know this, but items can already be repaired. You place two of the same item in the crafting table, and the crafted item will be the same item (minus the enchantments if you have any) with repaired durability.
never knew lol, but it is sort of longterm fix like if you had two broken diamond pick axe's yeah that would be good but if you just wanted a quick fix you should be able to spend a diamond and fix it. where making another diamond pickaxe to repair one you might as well just make another.

If you already have a 2nd item of the item you want to repair, why waste that item? You just lose whatever you repair.
