So lately, Jeb has been talking about revamping the enchanting system, and well an idea sprang into my mind. With the addition of readable books and more structures in Minecraft, I thought why not have "enchantment" books spawn in these structures like the new sand temple or a stronghold. In a crafting table, you would take the book and put it in a square above the tool or weapon you want to enchant. For example, lets say you find a book inside a chest in a stonghold that says silk touch 1, you would take the book in a crafting table, put it above a pickaxe and voila, the book is consumed and you know have a silk touch 1 pickaxe. It's a simple thing to add to minecraft, because they already have the needed things to make it work, all they have to do is rearrange a little bit of coding. So what do you say, good idea or not?
I think this is a pretty cool idea. However, instead of the book disappearing, I think it should turn back into a normal book.
Yeah, I like this idea, because you could also then use the book vice versa, maybe storing a enchantment in a book, in case you want to save the enchantment for later use.
