These are special mobs, these mobs spawn only in the desert, taiga and tundra areas. while the mobs may drop something not so useful they're the perfect training mobs that appear occasionally in desert, taiga and tundra areas.
While fast and somewhat strong the mercenaries have one weakness, being able to become weak, just hit them first and their attacks are weakened, that and their relatively low health. The Mercenaries also live in small groups, with no visible home, they spawn from sand/snow with a whirling wind to hopefully ambush you. Leaving their home biome will cause them to take some damage, but will continue to follow you.
Their background story: once loyal mercenaries to villages, these rogue killers have become a small communistic, yet power hungry society. They hide in the nights their objective, to wipe out any man standing between them and their right to reign over the world. They choose to live within the confines of snow and deserts in order to best seek the lost and weak humans to strike.
Cool idea, but I think that taking damage when they leave the biome is a bit much; since all you have to do is hit them first and you have the upper hand.

They live in small groups and could ambush you easily, getting the first hit is a little hard to do with these factors.
I figured that they could take damage when they leave because it's a completely different biome that they're not used to also.
Think they should be stronger at night then during the day. At night, they can blend in with the surroundings better and utilize "stealth" a little better. During the day, their more visible and thus more vulnerable

It'll never be accepted by Mojang. Your suggestion has too many holes and excessive "effects" that are as pointless as the mob itself.
Suggestion: Stop playing Assassin's Creed.
Definition of assassin: a murderer of an important person in a surprise attack for political or religious reasons . Mercenaries would be better, They are payed killers. Nice try, kid. But, dont stop playing assassin's creed; its just plain awesome.
lol, I based this off of my own mindsense and some shitty movie with the same plotline. I tried to make it as vanilla-worthy as possible. I guess I'll change it up a bit.

Make a mod, or get a mod maker to make it for you because this is not vanilla minecraft at all.
