I think that Jeb and Notch should continue with their Red Dragon idea. If you didn't hear about it, check the Minecraft Wiki. Using Kingzut's suggestion also, the dragons should hatch from eggs and hatch every few hours. The dragons should be able to grow and age. They should also be a little smaller than the enderdragon, and some dragons should be tameable with steak or something. I feel that they spawn as elemental dragons and they cant travel out of their biome. Its like they would protect their biome.
I respect you also for patrolling the forums. I was thinking that someone should have done that. I salute you.
I should probably mention that I read your suggestion wrong, even before you edited it.

I agree that Mojang should continue with it. In fact, when I first heard about it, I was waiting a long time for it - without even thinking about the Enderdragon. I was assuming the Red Dragon would be in The Nether as some sort of "choice boss", as a boss (or anything else that big) might be a bit too much for the Overworld. I don't think any dragon should be tamable though, as that might make the game way too easy. Not that I hate the idea, but I think it might go better as a mod.

Hey, you there. Yes, you! Are you thinking about posting a suggestion on the forums anytime soon? If so, please read this before doing so.
I agree with this idea. I also think the dragons should come in varying shapes and sizes too.
For example
A water dragon with a serpentine body, when tamed, you can mount this dragon and not only is it faster than a boat, but loads more durable. They can also attack mobs by rapid-firing snowballs (much stronger ones than the snowballs thrown by the player or snow golems) from their mouths. Oh yeah, and you would tame a water dragon by feeding it fish.
A jungle dragon, these guys will probably be smaller than the other dragons, but make up for it in their speed. They can't fly, but can climb up trees and other vertical surfaces and then glide/parachute back down to the ground to avoid fall damage. They attack with poisonous bites as well as spitting poison at you..
Oh while were at it, I read that red dragons were basically gonna look like the enderdragon except smaller and red (obviously). I have no objection to that (although I'd like to see the red dragon breathe fire too). But I think Mojang should just let the red dragon keep the likeness and give the enderdragon a more surreal appearance to suit its environment more.
there I thought of it after the end.
ater the ender dragon.
after minecraft.
doom dragon
un killable
but stoppable
to stop it you must go thousands of blocks to a temple battle though endless hords of zombies.
in the in room there is a block of raw power, to save minecraftia you must break it. when it breaks the temple will turn into creeper spawners. you have 1 mintue before they start spawning.
ok just a story that I thought of the doom dragon would have that block as it's weakness. after you steel it you need to take a sword and craft it with the block. this makes the sword of notch one use only. does 99999999 hearts.
stab the dragon with it.

That's overdoing it, dude. Your idea sounds more like the plot for an adventure map or something.
