Right now, the dispenser recipe uses a bow. Before the newest snapshot, that was fine and dandy.
But now, dispensers can dump water/lava and pull it back in (of course in the snapshot). Now, for realism's sake (and yes I know someone will say "minecraft is not realistic"), this isn't very good.
I suggest that pistons replace bows in the crafting recipe.
As of now, it makes a little more sense than a bow. Inside the dispenser, the bow could only fire something, but it can't exactly fire a liquid (and it would burn in lava) or take it back out. A piston would be able to fire anything AND push water out AND take it back in (once the power runs out the piston inside the dispenser pulls back in, taking back some of the water/lava too).
Any thoughts?

Did something happen to you in your childhood to give you this unreasonable fear of rutabaga?
I didn't even know dispensers could fire water/lava out...
If that is true then it would be logical to replace the bow with a piston, but then, when has minecraft been very logical?? Plus, it would be very expensive to make
Newest snapshot. Read up on it, it isn't technically in Minecraft yet but it will be.

There should be a change to the dispenser recipe.

You make a good point -- however it's not that good of a point considering that would mean, pistons should not be able to fire arrows.
Now your logic means arrows should not be fired from dispensers.
True.
