I support this many times over. The game needs less frequent massive caves, more interesting mountains, mountains with trees, redwood forests without snow, less frequent mineshafts, town placements that actually make sense (near a source of water or something), and for the love of god beaches that match snow patterns and NO GODDAMN DESERTS RIGHT NEXT TO TUNDRAS AND TAIGAS
I know when you came up with this idea, you were drunk in a bar half naked. You come up with this idea and some how you remember it. Justin Beber comes to your home and randomly reads your mind. JB takes out a chiv and puts it up to your neck treating you so you make this post. And then you got drunk agin and slaped a stupid title on it. RRRAAAGGGEEE! I've seen Fing pyramids with ryvines inside them with like 100 iron in them with gold and diamonds. Cracks in the earth, amazing hills, and mountains. YOU ARE WRONG SIR.

You my nice little creeper obviously havn't seen anything before B1.8, YOU ARE WRONG SIR. the mountains now are nothing compaire to the old fashion ones also they was more random also revines became too common and became an annoyance and finaly the 100 iron and other minerals, YOU just dont know what a true challenge is, any ways HE'S NOT WRONG so **** off
We all know that but its not relivant to what Chaos said, its funny though Ice Deserts(Snow ontop of sand) was suppose to exist in minecraft but for some reason did not generate, it would be nice to see if Jeb can fix that.
I agree with all of your Peoples Comments, and How You spread the word.
(BAD PART,NOT GETTING TO POINT)
The Game of Minecraft is A Realistic game about Survival. It's not about How good the Seed looks or how many Mountains there are or Building on top of a 2x7 Floating Island. It's about SURVIVAL!Sharing your creations with the worlds is just PART of the game. You have to figure out how surviving and Just BUILDING a MINI SHELTER works!IT DOES.so I would Love to see you guys argue over your Opinions(Maybe facts!)But think about How you would Live if it was just FOREST and Flatgrass,Barely any caves and if so,About 4 blocks low.
(GOOD PART,IDK IF THIS IS THE POINT THO)
However,The Mojang/Indie Team should make A NEWER generator,One that spawns you like if you were in skyblock,a single tree,no chest, and ground below you as if You have to parkour fall.Or imagine on top of a tree hanging on a Pillar of Dirt and stone. We want the breath-taking Views of Mountains, little holes in the Mountains,Underwater Caves that Lead you to obsidian Or bedrock,And maybe even Spawn you in a world that is User-created,Not just waited to be made by the game,Like Skyblock.Picture this, not having to download the files and doing any work.Just run the SP game and VOILA!Your in a skyblock Map!Or maybe even Just spawning right above a 1x1 Hole in the ground leading to bedrock.Just IMAGINE the possibilities You can have while just pressing the....
I think its OCD to be honest i do hate the Artic biomes touching Tropical ones aswell XD
I respect your attraction to those biome transitions but with the changes we're suggesting (whether random biome placement is related or not), nothing will be taken away. There will still be continuous amounts of flat land and any other type of terrain you could mention - including realistic AND unrealistic biome transitions
The people that want Mojang to forcefully stop taigas from touching deserts are the people that ruin every game. They're literally nazis. If they want realistic transitions, then they should find one because they already exist in the game. Some people like me enjoy having realistic and unrealistic biome transitions. They're basically saying "everyone needs to play my way." Come to think of it, they're also ruining the exploration factor in Minecraft. Having realistic transitions appear 100% of the time will just make everything even more repetitive than it already is. "Oh look a forest, I know what's coming next..." I think some people are forgetting that every MC world is infinite, and if they don't like a certain area they should move on...
There's my argument and I'd like to see someone counter it.
I support! I have been playing since alpha 1.1 that is right oct 2010! Right before the halloween update with the addition of biomes, alpha was either you had hills and trees or you had hills and snow. Then the biomes came on 31 oct 2010. It was amazing all of a sudden an alpha player who has already spent 13 hours + on minecraft had snow AND mountains AND plains AND forests and sometimes even snowcovered forests on a hill! This to me was better then the nether! Yep, I said it. Biomes revolutionized the game! We then added seeds! A thing that made it so if you saw a map and wanted to play on that exact map you could. We got things like 404 and glacier, and 707 seeds popping out of the walls! We had seeds like "really amazing ocean outlook on top of a snowy cliff filled with trees and coal!" Then 1.8 came, and Notch said that generation was different! After the Beta biomes addition it looked like the 1.8 would be AMAZING! I create a fresh world and look at the land.... and then, my intrest in Minecraft has suddenly dropped. I started modding it, texture packs, even making adventure maps, just to make the game worth keeping on my desktop quickbar. I am now making a map, texture pack, and have 12 different game-changing mods all at once. All that triggered it was the lack of stuff to do, "oh look, diamonds, time to go to the nether, oh look a fortress, time to make potions, oh look, full diamond armor, an enchanted bow, multiple potions of health, blah blah, lets go kill a dragon. yay..." I want to make a new base, but I don't want it to look exaclty the same terrain-wise. I remember pre 1.8 I would search for just what I wanted in a land, often traveling days, just to get good scenery, now, I don't even bother. I support with all my heart, and anything else I can give! MAKE EXPLORATION FUN AGAIN!

If facebook, Myspage, and Twitter were all destroyed, 90% of teens would go insane. If you're one of the 10% that would be laughing at them, copy this into your signature and hope it happens.

If they add a new terrain generation feature that uses the Pre-1.8 terrain generator then I would be slightly more happy, but no. Instead they make the huge ugly mess have an even BIGGER option.

I do agree with your post but thats what i think is the reason why people act like that, also Biomes are relevant to this topic sence it referes to seeds not just terrain so their argument is still valid but anyways i think the least mojang can do is let snow and tropical biomes touch but the edge of the snow biomes wont be snow so that it would look less out of place, also i did like the non snow tiaga, maybe they should make that a seperate biome, being called a pineforest
I don't know why this makes seeds "useless". Seeing as seeds are generated depending on the time you create the world. When I mean time, I mean literally the second/minute/hour/day/month/year/etc. Seeds are useful when recreating a world crated at a specific time that you did not create a world. Say a world created at 2:41pm, June 20, 2012 spawned you in a Mushroom Biome, and you didn't create a world at that specific time, although you are looking for a Mushroom Biome near the spawn. Someone who did create a world at that time can give you the seed and you'll generate the same exact world.
I think the point of this may to say "Biomes are useless! And here's why:"

Because the only actual use seeds have now is to get to a specific location, biomes and terrain is so dull now almost every world look exactly the same, not like how 404 or gargamel was.
This is a brilliant speech and I think it is true. We need more vibrant landscape. We need forested mountains and more hills and more color like more kinds of flowers and different types of trees and plants. They also need to fix the bug which tundras and taiga all spawn near one of the hottest biomes, jungles. We need a more vibrant tempeture and weather and moisture system. We need mountains in all biomes like it used to be and beaches need to be smaller. Deserts also need to have dunes and make them much bigger. We need less Npc villages and less jungle And they minecraft needs more biomes. This is how i think minecraft needs to be like.
In the latest update (1.3, not Beta) they brang back the old generation!!
Thats not really true, and if your talking about the Large Biome option that dont count

Why does everyone want this? I honestly like some of my deserts touching snow. Don't like it? Ignore it.
Cold deserts exist.
