The more I play Minecraft the more I love it. Simultaneously, i also continually find small issues that if resolved, could make the game simply easier to play.
First off. Obsidian tools will never happen. Minecraft withholds a ratio of availability to worth in its materials, i.e., iron is easier to find than diamond and therefore is less valuable. Obsidian would break this ratio because it can be created by the player if he or she exploits the liquid properties of the engine properly. So as you can see, obsidian is impractical.
I suggest the following:
+Avatar Gender
this could add the choice to choose a different body type for your MC avatar, distinguishing between boy and girl. it would require a new skin format however for the new gender body type.
+Editable Signs
i wish i could just right click and automatically be able to edit a set sign.
+Colored lights.
i find myself making aesthetically appealing structures based on specific color schemes only to have them ruined by light that is too strong, or light in the wrong color. mabe we could add dye to a redstone lamp and it would emit a duller, red or green or blue or purple light.
Please add feedback on some ideas you would like to see happen in minecraft.
More than one suggestion type per thread isn't allowed.

Woah woah wait. A new poster that's against the overly suggested obsidian tools idea? I like you already.

Can't just skins alone differentiate between gender?

Agreed.

Though this sounds interesting, this seems like one of things that would be a nightmare to code and bring very undesired bugs. Also, colored lights might drown out other colors of things around it, possibly making the recolored objects more tedious to identify. Once we stop getting 30 bugs for every 1 fix per update, I'd like this idea a bit more.
As 0_Zippy said, one suggestion per thread please.
