so basically you wont be able to create any type of redstone gadgets in the nether without the threat of it all catching on fire? no thanks. maybe something redstone could do to netherrack besides setting it on fire?

set your contraptions in the nether on cobble? Netherrack is like brimstone so it should set on fire with energy.

i know that, but im saying it would make the nether a lot less appealing to players such as myself that like to mess around with redstone where ever we happen to be. thats just my opinion. id rather not bring a load of cobble to clog up my inventory when its fine the way it is

And netherrack doesn't clog up your inventory when you want to build there? It's an under developed block with little use except keeping aflame and not burning up when used with flint and steel.

i dont mine netherrack and would have a ton of it in my inventory because id just have a small stack or just mine it and then place it back down where i would need it, like mini-terraforming type thing
and that could be used in saying that grass is an underdeveloped block. its just there, really. grass has a smaller number of uses then netherrack does. its just there for decorations and can be used for houses, thats it. netherrack can do that but can also hold a flame. so technically, netherrack>grass in terms of usage

okay, so grass has another use. and? fire traps dont exist and most likely, 99% sure that they wont ever exist. i mean it could be a good idea, theres just a lot of ways this could go wrong

Great idea, a good use for netherrack besides for fireplaces and bridges in the nether.
