I... highly, highly doubt that. That phrase was already in the modern world long before you existed. You also just slightly changed the wording of it, and then added your name at the bottom. That's pretty goofy.
Yes, I already know you added that to your sig after you made that post. That's what makes it more eyebrow raising. You posted it, and then quoted yourself in your sig like you inspired yourself. You having "swag" in your username also forces me to think you're just doing that to mess with people.
Whoever said the quote, it's clearly not you.
Moving on. I'm not quite sure you earned the "critiquing the suggestion guide" badge just yet. Considering you made one of the most redundant ideas ever (which I'm shocked didn't get locked after the first 6 posts) and then defended that with very invalid statements this guide teaches you to not use. You even admitted yourself that most of your arguments were empty.
You then went "eh I don't care for this thread anymore" which is usually another way of saying "I ran out of stuff to say, so therefore I don't wanna keep this going."
I didn't run out of things to say, I just focused my attention towards the thread I made more recently. If I ran out of reasons, I would've said: "Guys, you're right.", as well as put a reason behind that. I said some, not most. And don't judge people because of their username. Also, it didn't get locked for a reason: It was not vague, it was very descriptive. The title has been suggested, but not the ideas themselves. People who have previously suggested Lapis lazuli tools and armor have made it LOOK dumb, by being vague, and providing bad ideas for the suggestion. And yes, my name isn't Robert Chambers... and by modern world, I mean the modern-day, where duck-face selfies thrive on the internet, where Fiat has started selling cars in the U.S again, where gamers can get extremely rich off of a video-sharing website, where you can use one of the cheapest new cars as a phone, where a gaming console that supports 4K resolution is a reality, and so much more.
Minecraft is not medieval-themed!!! As a matter of fact, it doesn't have a set time. And when and WHY did putting reponses in the quote, especially long ones, become a trend in the Suggestions? It's rather inconvenient, mainly since the OP has to gather your quote up manually. Avatar made by Endergirl!
I have also noticed how you flat out ignore my criticisms/posts. That's very... evasive... of you. I've recently had the pleasure of viewing your two topics; one of which is a poorly formatted wishlist (abjectly against the rules), the other falls under the category of "stop asking" when it comes to new tool tiers when Mojang already dictated "there won't be any more".
It seems your complaints/criticisms are less about righteously defending others, and more about petty self-interest in a vain attempt to convince others that it's ok to have sub-par work if only to save personal embarrassment. All your cherry picked arguments from red herrings won't help your case either; neither will blow-harding false credentials. The only thing that matters in this discussion is whether or not this thread has enough merit to remain a guide for other suggesters to follow; on that note, yes it does. If it didn't, it wouldn't be stickied.
In fact, I'd avoid red herrings as they only damage your ability to debate.

I can admit to being jumpy on the username, but my point still kinda stands. Having any kind of meme in your username or avatar will harm your suggestions in some way, eventually. There's a guy on here who calls himself "Dr. Troll" and a lot of other users can't take him seriously because of that.
As for your Lapis thread. You used a lot of arguments that had absolutely no basis on the integrity of the idea. Saying "Well Mojang might change their minds" isn't a good statement to use. Yes, Mojang could change their minds on something, but that same thing could be said about any idea that's generally rejected. I know horses was one of the ideas that got some bad rep, but at least Mojang didn't outright say "There will be no horses" like they did with new tools/armor.
Another thing you mentioned was that Lapis armor would be the first jewel armor, which doesn't mean anything. I don't even know why you mentioned that.
Edit: And your baby guardians/cooked squid/whatever thread is a wishlist.

Your baby guardians/cooked squid/whatever thread is a wishlist.
A wishlist is a list of random, completely unrelated ideas. Mine were related to each other, and I put a poll, so that I can get a better understanding of what others think about that idea. This is what a wishlist looks like: ok guys i want a fairy and a dead bush tools and a zombie unicorn and a talking dirt block and so many other stuff. It's a suggestion, where people give feedback, and I want to make the idea appeal to many other people as well. So, no, it's not a wish list.

It's a wishlist because it's not under the label of "underwater mobs" and they don't follow a similar theme.
Cherry picked arguments are what you use on this thread. They ignore all of the contradictory and self-invalidating points and only highlight the rare golden eggs you have in your discussion (which similarly have more holes in them than swiss cheese). Next, I don't need the ability to read your mind, I can read your text and can read textual clues to determine the mental state of a person. You're attempting to appeal to the authorities here, which is comical as we are not authorities in the first place.
Finally, let's get to the hypocrisy of your statement: "I hate on people's ideas too much". "Please stop with the food-related figurative statement."
This is generally funny because I don't remember the last time I actually "hated" on anything. If you're crying because I'm blunt and tactless, get over it, then get over yourself. You're not going to censor me or change my fundamental core beliefs or a writing style I've had for (likely) longer than you've been born. If by "hate on ideas too much" you actually meant "You're not doing mad dashes to give each poster undue levels of sycophantic praise" - you'd be correct. If I see steak, I call it steak. If I see a lemon-and-herb encrusted tilapia fillet, I call it tilapia. If I see garbage left on the forum, I call it garbage and attempt to tidy it up. I guess this makes me a bad guy, huh?

Look, I've seen every single kind of bad/incorrectly made thread under the sun. I don't need you explaining to me what a wishlist actually is. You also dodged everything else I said, much like you did in your first thread.
The only thing I see that's related to all of your concepts in your second thread is the fact your ideas have to do with underwater mobs. That's it, nothing else. That can still mean your thread is a wishlist.

You think you can determine anyone's mental state based one what they wrote on some website, and you're deluding yourself into thinking it's a reality. However, if you said that you can sometimes determine one's mental state based on what that person wrote, then that'd be believable. I'm not crying. It's not garbage, I put a lot of effort into that post, but for you, effort in this case probably means sitting in front of the pc for a month, just to create a new thread. You think you can determine anyone's mental state based one what they wrote on some website, and you're deluding yourself into thinking it's a reality.
Here's the thing, though. Language is powerful. When you've read enough and understand enough about an author; you begin to learn how they react, respond, etc. The verbage indicates tone; the structure of grammar indicates composure. While all snowflakes may be unique, they're still snowflakes. This means that general rules still apply. Nothing I ever do is a guarantee; but the statement was more of pattern recognition and predicting from expected results. In other words, I don't need to read anyone's mind to know what they're thinking simply based on that.
I'm not crying. It's not garbage, I put a lot of effort into that post,
For this, I will apologize. Not for calling what you said garbage; but for not clarifying that the example of garbage wasn't specifically directed toward you. It was in regard to other posters that do post garbage.
but for you, effort in this case probably means sitting in front of the pc for a month, just to create a new thread.
Don't straw man me. There's no reason to accuse me of something when I made no mention of inclination in any direction. As a matter of fact, I tend to be fairly relaxed in most of my posts; sure, I give tall orders and laundry list of corrections; but this is usually so that other posters can learn and improve from the suggestion; not so they can feel ridiculed and beaten down. Generally, if they work with me, I work with them; and their idea is better as a whole. Regardless of how I feel about a suggestion; it's not even "their taste is different than mine", it's about giving the reader all the necessary details; and trust me, I crack down harder on critics than I do suggesters when it comes to that.
I accept your beliefs, but I disagree with them. Also, I'm sorry that not everyone agrees with yoshi9048's beliefs, and that not everyone enjoys your food-related figurative statements.
I use food-related analogies because they're one of the easiest things for people to grasp as an inoffensive corollary. That fact that you're seemingly offended confuses me as I make these analogies specifically to skirt offense. I criticize with simile, simile is one of the most effective ways to positively criticize a work. (simile, for those unaware, is not a misspelling of smile. It's a different word which roughly means "A is to B as C is to D")
I too am sorry that not everyone agrees with my beliefs. Things would be a lot simpler then; but realistically, not everyone agrees with me. This means I hold discussions with people to share my beliefs and come to a common ground with them and perhaps even draw an equally equitable compromise. Which definitely sounds more reasonable and open-minded than the next quote:
You made an unnecessarily gigantic, vague list, largely based on ideas that YOU don't want sharing with the others

Wrong! A wishlist is actually a list of occurrences, or a list of things that is intended to only show the writer's desires. Source: https://www.google.com/search?q=wishlist&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8#q=wishlist definition You were right about the fact that Theriasis has been here longer than I have, but the word "wishlist" isn't only used in minecraft forums.

For this, I will apologize. Not for calling what you said garbage; but for not clarifying that the example of garbage wasn't specifically directed toward you. It was in regard to other posters that do post garbage.

But it may mean something slightly different here. After all, all suggestions are intended to show the writer's desires. And some suggestions are lists of similar ideas. That does not mean they are wishlists.
If you are planning to make a suggestion, please read this.
If you want to know more, you can read this.
For those who complain about post-Beta generation, you might want to see this.
The ideas being related by just a hair still doesn't mean you don't have a wishlist.
You probably would have been better off had you named your thread something like "More Underwater Content" or whatever, just to be on the safe side.Nevermind, you already did that. I'll direct the rest of my criticisms on that thread and not here.

I know about good posting habits way more than the average person. I don't think I need to dial anything back.
This guide is pretty much just a decorational sticky that gets ignored. If someone makes a dumb thread, has it get locked, then they're going to learn right then and there about what not to do in the future.
I don't get it.
Perhaps the better answer is to not encourage or enable this type of behavior in the future. I mean, if guide exist, may as well use 'em.

Really? Doesn't seem like it.
Stop. You've been a member here for 5 days. You have no idea about the history of this guide as how effective it's been. I think you're the perfect candidate in reading this guide, because you've made some pretty dumb replies in your threads. You're digging yourself in a deep embarrassment hole, try not going down any farther.

Actually, I've got an idea to help a bit, while I may get a big fat ugly NO!, doesn't stop me from trying.
