This was from ZTick critiquing a raw idea but, prefixes. Here's a direct quote:
I feel like this should go some where in the guide.
What exactly are you requesting to be in the guide? Like, what would be the name of the entry in the guide (being specifically in the "excuses you shouldn't use" section or the "presentations you need to avoid section?)
The presentations you should avoid. And it could be called "Prefixes"

You know who can tell me something I already know? Me. All the time. I'm really good at telling me stuff I already know. I don't need help in that department. I don't know about others, but I can't imagine I'm alone here.

Is this advertising? (Please don't spite me >_<) I'll remove it if someone tells me it is.
Yeah, on that note, it kind of is. Don't link to your thread here, and don't make a suggestion here. It's thread hijacking and is strongly frowned upon.

Duuuuuude... The very first words in the first post is to not post suggestions here. It is in huge red letters. Yes, that's advertising.
Anyway, I added "Well then tell me what would make my idea better than!" and "This needs more uses!" to the excuses and presentations section. I'll do another scan of the thread and add more later.

The Unofficial Suggestion Guide - Everything you need to know to not make goofy mistakes in a suggestion! Honestly though, you should really go there.
This is one that applies directly to this thread: Don't make suggestions in this thread if you're new here.
This isn't a cross-section or shotgun, this is specifically for thread 64149-please-read-this-before-making-a-suggestion.
Look guys, I know you're well intentioned and that you are equal to others, but simply because you've been lurking here for 5 years or see something that irks you doesn't mean you have the experience to adequately codify a "rule" for others to follow. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that any newer poster (200 posts or under) can't make a decidedly wise and provocative addition here, but I am saying that most people here frankly don't know their butt from a crater and need to explore the forum more before attempting to join a justice league.
Learn posting patterns and behavior, get to know your fellow members, learn how to become a better poster, practice critical thinking, situational evaluation, pay attention to your surroundings, etc. There's a reason why members with more posts have more "valued" opinions. It's generally because they've done due diligence and rigor and have deserved their clout, and have remained overall respectful enough to not be banned in the time it took for them to aggregate those posts.
The big point is: if you have under 100 posts: then consider, consider for a LONG TIME the ramifications of asking someone to follow what may end up being draconic and unwieldy "advice".
"I constantly deal with (situation) so this should be in the game!"
"I have chests full of cobblestone, so therefore Mojang needs to make it so cobblestone has more uses! They need to make it where we got slingshots and can craft each cobblestone into about 10 pebbles? Any negative reception will be pushed off and ignored for eternity because I'm sure my idea is perfect!"

I had a hilarious argument, and it came down to the other person saying:
"Don't reply negative or I'll block you!"
Yeah, ok? So this is the complicated and little less obvious way of saying "You won the argument, but I'm stubborn! Leh!"
OP:We should add eye cleaner to the game! You craft it with magma cream and a water bottle! It cures blindness and nausea!
Critic: Uh, no, when will we need this? Unfitting and worthless.
OP: Don't reply negative or I WILL block you!
Thats gonna discourage people who might post good critizm(Unlike Critic in the example.) It'll make you look silly and make your thread sink to the abyss. So don't do it.

If mojang/micro$oft see this thread enough, eventually they'll add it!
This is supposed to snipe the redundant card by stating that an idea is really popular simply because there's a lot of threads about it. The BAD news is that's not how this forum works. If you create 1000 poorly written suggestions, they'll be bumped/locked out of sight and NO ONE is going to read it. One thread with a lot of support works far better than 100 locks, and makes the sec mods' lives much easier.
I found it. It's there as "it can be ignored." Its reasons don't, however, address items like the one in my signature, a purely aesthetic block that doesn't generally interfere with gameplay. If I say I don't want more kinds of wood items, people respond with "don't like don't use!" and despite my attempts to rationalize against that, it's hard to get people to realize why that isn't a valid argument.

Added both. And I fixed the thread. I also added a little boring section for credits - both extensive supporters and minor ones.
