I added three points.
I forgot to say I find this tutorial is good I was just thinking of the continual buffs of the creeper made by the creator of Minecraft.
Ok, I have this idea of the top 50 suggested ideas for Minecraft. I want to go in-depth about these features, but it will not be a list. My plan is to categorize them based on how they are implemented in the game. For example, I would have a section talking about Villagers & Villages, World Generation, and about 5 more. I am a pretty good writer and will not disappoint you. The concern I have is that it would break the wishlist rule. So my question is, can I do this?
I get people asking me this a ton simply because I pen For The Critics.
My answer is: You're asking the wrong people. Speak with a sectional moderator, speak with an admin. Do not ask us, we're not the authorities on it.
In terms of whether or not you should, I'd say NO. Give yourself a bit more tenure and a bit more activity here. Build the necessary clout you'd need to maintain and generate an audience, and give yourself the time it'd take to truly notice trends and desires.
Besides, the idea you're looking at is horribly large in scope and exceedingly difficult to maintain and update.
"Mojang, you made a mistake. Cast your eyes down in shame as I rise from my throne and bless this suggestion forum with my golden existence and flawless idea. Ender Pearls only have 2 uses, just 2! What a joke! All you can do is throw them to teleport yourself and make Eyes of Ender out of them to find a strongholds. Auuuugh what a joke!! Ender Pearls need the ability to be made into Ender Tools! These tools are stronger than iron and come sometimes teleport ore to you when destroying a stone block while the ore is nearby!"
"Alright, now I will return to my throne and try to muster up forgiveness for Mojang for not having my idea yet."
There's nothing wrong with suggesting another use for something, but don't act like you're a little know-it-all and treat your idea as the eleventh commandment. Also, maybe understand that something having few uses is both not a bad thing and possibly intended.
Have fun here. and whatever you suggest, just make sure it isn't RWV (Redundant, Wishlist, Vague)
Thanks. I want to make a suggestion that is technically redundant, but the of the two suggestions it duplicates, one is vague and the other is a wishlist. So I assume that is acceptable? Otherwise a user could kill a suggestion s/he didn't like by making a purposely bad post about it.
Then that's okay. If you can be more detailed and balance the idea to make the idea better than previous posts about the idea , then people will support.
Exceptions however would be, but not limited to:
Pigmen
Herobrine
Thirst bar
Emerald tools/armor
Cars
Red Dragons
Just to name a few LOL
Good! I'll take the carpooling, Herobrine-slaying pigmen part out of my suggestion.
"Well then suggest what would make my idea better then..."
This is a very situational statement that does not work with every suggestion. A suggestion can be so bad that no amount of fairy dust or tweaking will ever bring it up to would-totally-fit-in-vanilla standards. In other words, putting a Flintstones band-aid on an amputation does nothing.
Your idea of Creepers driving pickup trucks is too for gone and horrible for any form of stat change to help it. No, making the trucker Creepers "really really rare" doesn't detract from its horribleness. "It's all good yo, the trucks don't go all that fast so that balances it out!" Doesn't matter, the core idea of an infamous mob driving a damn truck is still there and will never be justified.
Those types of ideas are like many cancers and STD's, you can treat them a bit to reduce the pain and swelling, but you'd be much better off if the ailment was never there.
This is a really good guide! But you should add a part about How to defend your suggetion properly(And what not to do)

My Avatar is a Dalek, therefor your argument is... EXTERMINATED!!!
You know who can tell me something I already know? Me. All the time. I'm really good at telling me stuff I already know. I don't need help in that department. I don't know about others, but I can't imagine I'm alone here.
Note: Classical "free will" doesn't exist, and it is possible to not only force someone to do just about anything, but to also convince them completely that it was their own idea. And it is not morally objectionable to do so, anymore than it's morally objectionable to pick up a rock from one place and put it somewhere else.
I think he's referring to the effects of mob conformity where a person will change/adapt his views (even if he knows they're wrong) to not be nonconformist within that group.
Even if the group is wrong, it feels more wrong to go against the group than to go with what feels right, so you conform. On that note, this isn't a discussion of sociology, but a discussion on what you should/shouldn't do as a poster.

What does it mean when like 85 people look at a suggestion, but no one comments? Is it just too long and no one gets to the end, or is it a terrible idea and no one wants to touch it? Would it be advertisement to post the link here, because I want someone to tell me what is wrong with me and my thread?
Views are a bit wishywashy as a metric; but generally if someone's not responding to your topic, it means one of two things.
1) You chose a bad time to post it, high forum activity can displace even the best-written thread in under 15 minutes.
2) Your topic is worse than bad, it's mediocre. In other words, it's stuck in the perpetual meh-zone. Where people don't hate it enough to hate it, or don't like it enough to like it. This is a bad place to be as ambiguity is a much more cruel mistress than even hate and her obvious definite strikes.
Yes. But you didn't act like a jerk and link to your post. I'll give you credit for that. 😃

Because the following ideas are also prefixed, I'm gonna stop pointing it out, just assume I don't like them. We can be more creative than "Ender this! Ender that! Ender thing! Ender other thing!"
I feel like this should go some where in the guide.

This... This is beautiful. Adding.
The Unofficial Suggestion Guide - Everything you need to know to not make goofy mistakes in a suggestion! Honestly though, you should really go there.

My best suggestion:
Mobs actually being varied???
There are two whole sections in the guide dedicated to that very thing.
That said...neat guide, really helpful.
