I think I got another thing for the presentation section.
Do not ignore 'must-do' things for your thread.
So you made a thread about a new type of flying ranged mob that drops dipping sticks when killed. Okay. But then you turned your thread into a dumb wishlist by also suggesting flammable wood armor. So then some nice guy walks in and says "so hey, you might want to remove that part in your thread so it's not a wishlist and doesn't get locked".
Your best bet would be to... I don't know... remove something in your thread so it isn't a wishlist? Don't respond with "oh ok sry" and then just not do anything else. Don't respond with "um ok so like I won't do it next time". No, don't do it this time and take the chance to save your thread in the here and now.

Hey, you there. Yes, you! Are you thinking about posting a suggestion on the forums anytime soon? If so, please read this before doing so.
I think that diamond swords should be called "diamond tipped swords" and be crafted by placing diamonds around an iron sword. So basically, place the iron sword in the middle of the crafting screen and place diamonds in the slots above and to the left and right. It would be more expensive but I guess it would be more realistic.

I put a big colorful notice about not putting suggestions in this thread. If people miss it, they never entered the thread or have a thinking deficiency.
"So guys um I'm suggestin that villagers build perfect cities and have their own economy and like have schools and like ranks and like military and like like like"
I've noticed something. In the balance guide, it mentions an excuse about making people's lives easier in the area about the glue balls. That excuse is not in the list of excused to avoid. Was this intentional?
Not just that, but I am getting sick of people using this excuse, especially with redstone (i.e. adding timer blocks, just as an example, that do the exact same thing with an extra 5 or so blocks more space).

It's there, but it's in the presentations section under "don't make blatant substitutes" or something.

Ah, I see it. I think the part abouyt redstone should also be added. It counts as a substitute (e.g. a 1-block clock that does the exact same job as current redstone tickers, but requiring less blocks because people are too lazy), and I'm getting sick of people doing that.
If something like this is already in the guide, than please correct me. However, I don't recall this being in the guide, and I have practically read the entire thing. I also think that this is important.

I'll add that. I should have added that in the beginning.

The Unofficial Suggestion Guide - Everything you need to know to not make goofy mistakes in a suggestion! Honestly though, you should really go there.
I've also noticed another thing that people, particularly newbies, tend to do. Their posts are so unorganised, they literally write their whole suggestion in a single paragraph; like 10-15 lines, 1 paragraph. It's not only daunting to read, but hurts your eyes. Take this post for example... http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/2428998-wrathian-mob/
All the information is just cluttered into a single paragraph. I'm sure you can see my point. Is this already there, because I don't think I saw it? Unless it is hidden in one of the points.
Another thing you shouldn't do is act like everybody knows you. I have seen a lot of newbies do this and it generally isn't received well.
For example: Hey guys, Smiliez7a here with another idea. They should add "thingy". This would work really well with my previous suggestion, that I'm sure all of you have read.
Yes, I agree. It does get annoying. I think that should be added to the "Don't Sign Your Posts" tip.
A lot of people will just have "idea" or "suggestion" or "minecraft suggestions" for their title. It tends to always lead to a vague thread, a redundant thread, or a wishlist if there's a plural. A lot of people will probably just skim past it. So, even if your suggestion is the best suggestion ever, using "idea" or "suggestion" for your title may lead to barely any people reading it. Here is one good and one bad title:
Special Dungeon-Exclusive Sword: <name of sword here>
Idea for a dungeon item

There's already a part about that, in "Vague/Redundant Topic Titles" or something.

Wrong thread.
Although even in the correct spot this one wont get many supporters; realism is highly frowned upon here.

Make sure your idea is not too advanced.

I also have another tip that could be added. It's called Do Your Homework. What it basically means is that not only should players check if their idea has already been suggested, but also if it is already possible in the game or being implemented in the future. It gets a bit redundant. Here are some examples...

EDIT: Another very recent example...

What about mine. A lot of people seem to do it, and it gets annoying. Is there something I missed in the OP?
Not trying to be a Grammar Nazi, but the subtitle is missing a word:
Make sure your isn't too advanced.
Sorry I spaced that one out. Yeah I'll add it soon.
I actually fixed that yesterday and the post didn't update. The post turned into HTML and it seemed like the site killed itself for a minute or so.
