I am aware that this suggestion may add some realism into the game, I am also aware that that not everyone is going to agree with this, but this is the suggestions area.
So right now no matter what biome you are in, you can stay as long as you like without getting affected by the heat/cold. This will add some negative effects on the player depending on which biome you are in.
Desert Effects: In real life, the desert is a deserted, sandy/snowy (antarctica) place that no one wants to get lost in.
Upon entering a desert a new effect tab (the ones that you get from drinking a potion) will appear. It will be called "Heat Resist", once it depletes you would slowly lose health/hunger. You can stop the countdown by wearing less armour.
Snow Biome Effects: In real life snowy areas are very cold and dangerous without the right amount of clothing and heat.
When you enter a snowy biome there would be a similar effect to the desert's Heat Resist called "Warmth", if this depletes you will have the same effects as having no Heat Resist. It is able to be stopped by wearing more armour or staying around sources of heat.
