i was just now making an animal farm to put some... well animals in.
After I guided all of the animals in, i noticed there were far more animals than I expected.
So I tried making the fence bigger.
Needless to say, getting the animals to stay in was a hassle. i had to keep bringing wheat to the other side of the fence, try to pole-vault over the animals, go take off a fence piece, guide the escapees back in,place the fence block 1 block further, repeat.
I got frustrated and said in my mind "these things need to go to sleep already!!!"

Well then, you've really got no-one to blame but yourself. "I ran out of fences! Quick, let's change the entire game to improve this situation!!
good point with the fences thing, but still it helps with killing them: you don't have to worry about everything escaping when you go inside and it would help a lot if you don't have to search through 100 pigs just to find the one you already hit.

So here I am with this suggestion:
animals lay down and sleep at night.
How will that Improve farming?
Why don't you improve the size outside your fence then remove the wall inside for them.. like build a branch off then remove a wall.
