It would be awesome if you added in bees and badgers! The bees would have random nests
in trees and they would cause flowers to spread, and if you hit the nest the bees would attack you.
the wild beehives could also be able to spread every now and then.
You could also be able to craft a net and catch bees and keep 10 or so of them in a bottle, then take them back to your house, craft a bee hive and keep the bees in it so you could go and harvest honey from them. which could also be used to eat, make bees attack people(if near a bee hive), making potions, and taming badgers!
Badgers also would come great with this because they would go after the beehives and attack them and any other mob if the badger is not tamed. You would also be able to tame the badgers with bottles of honey and the badger would attackany hostile mob(including other players that attacked you).
Badgers should also have more health and damage than a wolf and only spawn in the general location of where wild beehives have generated.

That's a great idea I over looked the poison bit but then again they are just honey bees
