so, as we all know, afeter 5 seconds an ocean gets boring, right? well, I think there should be at least SOME reward for going into the middle of nowhere. make it worth your while to cruise around in a boat like 20 minutes.
so my idea is an underwater ruin structure.
these structures are kind-of a cross between a dungeon, a mineshaft, and a stronghold. only two generate per world, but they are generated 5-6 blocks above the seafloor andcan span up to 4 biomes.
they have entrances periodically along parts exposed to air, and are partially made out of lapis brick. it is like the brick in strongholds. the parts that are not lapis brick are made out of glass or stone brick. they only have one level.there are different rooms as well.
they have 0-1 libraries. these contain 10 rows of bookshelves 3 blocks high and 10 blocks long with 2 blocks in between each row. they will have an enchantment table opposite the entrance and a chest that (if the feature is added) contain books with stories inside. the floor is made out of red wool.
they have 1-2 aquariums. they are 10x10x20 areas with a squid spawner(or a fish spawner if fish are implimented) and are filled with water. they have glass on the sides to look in at and no premade entrances.
they have a main room, it is a sphere with a 20 block radius. the sphere is made out of lapis lazuli brick and has 5 holes in the ceiling that have a water source block above them, causing water to flow into the sphere. there is a chest in the middle. it could contain ink sac (3-7) lapis lazuli shards (1-6) and gold ingots (5-7).
they have a storage room. it contains 5 chests each filled with one stack (2-10 items per stack) of gold ingots, iron ingots, lapis lazuli, books, feathers(as quills), and glass.
