I played the Xbox version of Minecraft, and it was great! However,
I feel there's some exclusivities in the Xbox version that should be
on the PC.
-Ingame Crafting Guide for telling you the items you can craft with your current inventory.
-Tutorial which explains the basics of the game
Now, I respect Team Mojang 100%, but I don't feel they're listening
to the reviews they've been given. If they were listening, I guess they
decided to fix the cons on the Xbox version, and completely ignore t
he PC version. They say the reason there's no ingame guide or tutorial is because
players have the internet to see tutorials and recipes. What if someone
doesn't have the internet? Mojang is basically saying, "Here's a cool
game which you're not going to get any help on, find the help yourself,
enjoy." The main reason we even know how to play Minecraft is throug
h use of external help, such as the wiki and Youtube. Almost all Minecraft
reviews said the major con was that there was no form of ingame help or
tutorial. Yes, we have the internet, but when you first got Minecraft, did
you really want to have to alternate between your Minecraft window and
the Minecraft wiki? Now don't yell at me if this stuff is planned for the ne
xt update or something, but I don't see why PC users don't get the help
available on the Xbox. And yes, I know there's Rigasumi's Crafting Book,
but I don't want to install a mod that does what Minecraft should have be
en able to do since 1.0.0.
If you agree, reply. If you don't agree, don't reply.
Eh... I guess the tutorial world might fit in but you have to remember the 360 version is Minecraft 1.6 and a lot has changed since then. The whole seeing what you can craft and not is part of the fun in Minecraft, figuring out what you can do!
